Samson Expedition XP510i 500-Watt Portable PA

Love this unit, sounds great. It is in the shop more than on the job. Not good if you need it to work.

Used the model before this one for years with not one single problem. This newer model I used 10 times, worked like the little workhorse it is, then it stopped powering up except for the fan. Replaced the fuse and it's now dead as a doornail. Pissed off!

The Expedition 510i Portable PA system is a great system. We love it. However, on our first time using it, the mixer lost power and failed to work again. The Company we purchased it from, 8th Street Music, has been great to work with in getting the part exchanged. I recommend them. They have been great to work with. The sytem now is running great. We use it for our school pep assemblies and dances. It is light, portable, easy to use, and has great sound quality. It is just what we have been looking for.

You're not going to get a super technical review out of me. I'll give you the layperson's opinion.I teach Zumba classes and needed a portable system to bring to venues--most importantly, I wanted it to be LOUD! And it is!! I've used it outside and can't take it up much more than 50% of volume. 75% is far too hard on the ears.I also love it's portability. The board slides right into the back of one speaker and the other speaker can house cords. The speakers hook together and I slide them into my rolling bag that it specially designed for the system. Then I hook the speaker stands into the handles on the side of the bag and off I go.Undoubtedly, it has way more features than I personally will ever use and I can't speak to how well those work but if you're looking for a plug n' play speaker system to play loud, good quality music, this works beautifully.

I bought this to use at pool side. Not water proof! But, great for the parties when you need some volume. Also, nice adjunct sound for an outdoor movie (LCD projector). I don't DJ, but it would work well for this purpose for the rudimentary party where a full mixing board is not necessary. Unfortunately, the iPod plug is for the older generation—won't charge the newer devices. However, not a big deal to me as my iPod will generally outlast any party I have as a parent of 5 who must wake up and go to work the next morning. Nice unit. Heavy duty. Stores easily as one connected suitcase-sized package (the speakers fit together with a dove-tail, and the mixer/cables all store inside the back of the speakers).

product works great but did have a problem but was solved by great customer service. The only problem i had is that The main head unit went out and i called for a new one and sent new item right away with no hazel.

i was really impressed on how this system worked...i love the dock for the ipod...love the effects built in to it and its portability is just what i was expecting!

The product works great when used properly. Turning the bass up too much can cause the mixer to blow a fuse without much warning from the LEDs. Other than that potential... it is a great little system.
