Wow!!!
Easy to apply, first coat looks great, drys fast. Definitely makes your work look good and quicker than other products. Will definitely buy more.

Much cheaper than special wood dye
I use shoe dye instead of stains. Works far better. Shoe dye is the same as wood dye, just tons cheaper.

Easy to use
I wanted to change my red-orange sofa to a light or medium brown without any red undertones. I chose Russet because the color chart on Fiebing's website showed it to be a golden brown color. I took a risk with that considering that "russet" is supposed to mean reddish-brown (which I definitely did not want). You can see the end result in the photo: one very thin coat (on the right) is a golden medium brown, which is closer to the color chart. Two coats (on the left) took it to a rich brown. I preferred the look with one coat but unfortunately with one coat you might not get an even result, especially if you’re remotely heavy-handed. To me the end result looks much darker than depicted in the color chart, so I would recommend going a shade lighter if you're unsure.Overall I was pleased with the dye and how easy it was for a beginner to use. I skipped the deglazer in favor of prepping with plain rubbing alcohol and it seemed to work fine.

Pretty, and dark.
It's pretty dark but I mixed a few drops with the saddle tan color dye and got good results. Always test before dying the final piece.
