StuburtMens PCT II Spiked Synthetic Microfibre Waterproof Golf Shoes

I followed the instructions on removing the studs and tightening them back up prior to golfing. Within 3 or 4 holes I lost two studs. One of which broke the lugs in the show stud socket. Shoe itself is good and waterproof so far after 18 holes. Just lacking studs.

Looks great,waterproof and a good make. Excellent value for money.

The shoes are great, very comfortable and they actually are waterproof. However the spikes are extremely fragile and I lost on average one spike every three or four rounds. At first I thought this was due to my not tightening the spikes correctly. So I bought replacements and worked out how to insert them correctly. But they continued to break at the same pace. Basically the spikes depend on two tiny plastic flanges to keep them in place, it takes very little stress to snap these flanges. It's simply a ridiculously delicate means of keeping the spikes in situ. I spent £10.00 on an additional 20 spikes, but these ran out within 10 weeks. I considered buying more, but decided to ask amazon for a refund, on the basis that the shoes had a basic flaw. Initially this looked like a lost cause as I raised this issue after 30 days. However, all credit to amazon, as they waived their 30 day policy and agreed to refund the full price of the shoes.I have played bad golf for more decades than I am willing to admit, and during this time have worn out many pairs of shoes. Most were not as waterproof as claimed, but none of them lost spikes as swiftly as this stubert pair.It's a real shame, as the shoes themselves are grand, but you run the risk of doubling the cost of purchase via extra spikes, in next to no time.
