Getting my old Conn alto "shooting star" fixed up, relearning how to play after decades. What would be the best reed "strength" for getting back in?

I started playing sax again after 60 years and now with bad lungs. I've settled in on RICO 2.0. I can get the sound I want and still breathe.

Where are these made ands what chemical are they soaked in?

The cane comes from France and the reeds are made in the US. There are no chemicals involved in the process.

Rico reeds

Rico has a good name in reeds but I noticed that d edges of these reeds aren't d best. Tho they play pretty good d edges kinda strip off so getting cut on ur lips while playing isn't fun

Easy breezy reeds

I recently bought my first alto sax. I'm not a horn player. It came with a 2.5 reed which was ok but I decided to get some really light ones to make it easier to develop my embouchure and breath control. These fit the bill perfectly, and seem very well made.
