Reliable connectivity
Good product and it does pick up the WiFi in spot where I had troubles picking the main Wi-Fi signal. It is compact and easy to install. Good price for quality.

It's working fine so far
I am using this device as an access point and am generally pleased. It has a nice form factor but I think the ethernet port would be better placed on the side.Another note about the ethernet port, it seems to be only fast ethernet rather than gigabit, so don't expect any speeds above 100mbps when using this as an access point.

Simple. Easy. Makes for a 300N or an AC450 media bridge (what I'm using it for- an AC450 bridge to something in my room that I can't wire...), dual band AP, or Repeater. Use your mobile device with their app, or any web browser to easily set these up. Need just the basics reliably but on a budget? Edimax delivered in spades on this one- as they usually do.

I can't rate it with zero stars because one star is the lowest possible rating to be able to write this review.. The product doesn't work. The operating instructions were written in poor English. Quite surprised that Amazon would sell a product with operation instructions written so poorly. Caveat Emptor!!!Edimax Smart AC750 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Extender (EW-7438AC)

Yet another WiFi repeater that needs power cycle resetting every 1-2 weeks, ugh
PROS:+Dual band, has a 2.4GHz radio and a 5GHz radio that can work simultaneously.+Easy setup via the unit's webpage using a laptop computer.+WPS can be disabled on each of the 2.4G and 5G radios. WPS is a known security risk.CONS:-Length and width are OK but its a little too thick.-If either the 2.4G or 5G received WiFi signals is less than 60% strength level, the third LED down will constantly blink red.-Can't turn the LEDs off via the setup page.-Has a firmware bug that swaps the 2.4G and 5G SSID names if custom ones are used. Set them up the reverse way and you are good to go once it reboots at the end of the setup.-Biggest con is that it crashes once every week or two and requires a power cycle to restore operation. I am tired of having to do this several times a month.I am using two of these repeaters in my 2 story house. My router (Netgear WNDR3400 running DD-WRT) is downstairs, one repeater is downstairs, one repeater is upstairs. Good coverage everywhere now, good speed. Set them up near the router then move to final location. They can also be used as a WiFi access point or a WiFi bridge when a LAN cable is plugged in.UPDATE 5/23/2017 : Over the last few months I have been getting a red light on the Extender, no traffic will pass through the Extender. Have to pull it out of the power socket, wait a few seconds and plug it back in. It will work great for another week or two then same thing, red light is on and won't pass traffic. The extender is 3 feet away from the router and through 1 wall, it gets 95% signal strength. Seems like watching Amazon on my smart TV usually causes the repeater to crash. Oh well another wireless repeater that isn't reliable.I have changed over to Open Mesh OM2P devices. But two are required since the Open Mesh repeater can only talk to an Open Mesh gateway. But at least the repeater is reliable now.

Mediocre performance, poor customer support
I got two of these, hoping to use them as relays. Setting up the first one with the Apple app was easy, but then the app wouldn't recognize the second one. I tried contacting Edimax, and they responded after a couple days by creating an account for me at their site, presumably with some info there. But they didn't give me a password, so I was unable to log in to their site, and since they'd already used my email for the account, I couldn't create a new account. They didn't answer subsequent emails till a couple weeks later, with the same message to log in to the account on their site. No help at all.Concerning the one that did work, it was mediocre, extremely limited range and had to be reset frequently. I returned both.

Hardline your wireless extenders.
I'm not a fan of extending wireless with wireless so I've used this product to extend wireless in my home by running cat5 to it from my router. Works great and plenty of signal strength everywhere.
