BLACK+DECKER FSM1620 1600-Watt Steam Mop with Auto Select Technology and 99.9% Germ Protection (White/Blue)

This machine is good. We ordered one and it broke on day one as it overheated at the plug. That want an issue it was replaced within a few days. Since having the replacement the floors that were previously neglected and dirty due to people just mopping over with dirty mops causing grime build up from the dogs now feel and look clean. Would certainly recommend for breaking down floor grime and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. It would be better if cordless but with high heat going through it is obvious to see why it isn't.

Steam is powerful, has three settings however the machine is quite heavy, it does not provide a clean floor. Leaves a strikes on the floor as the dirt is pushed around the floor and not on the cleaning floor pad. Very disappointed with the overall result and as the item is non refundable it is quite frustrating that the money spent on this is literally a waste!

I was a bit skeptical about buying a "mop" costing more than 7 thousand Rupees but bought it anyway and must say that it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. After using this mop, you can walk barefoot without getting any dust on your soles (in New Delhi).I am a senior citizen and I am using it on alternate days to clean a 3bhk home with Italian marble flooring. Takes about 30 minutes without exerting too much or tiring myself. I use a vaccum cleaner with a rotating floor brush (Philips) or a simple floor brush to clean the floor before using this mop. Even then the mop surface becomes quite blackened out. The water tank needs to be refilled once or twice to do the entire floor but that is a non issue - it is so easy to refill.Cons: The machine comes with 2 mops which should each last for a 100 cleaning cycles. If you clean every alternate day these would last for about 400 days. Strangely, Black+Decker is totally silent about replacement mops and does not seem to be selling those. However, I was able to find a reasonably priced set of 5 for Rs.2149.00 on Amazon and bought those to make sure that I have enough to last me for the next 3-4 years.Note: I have AN FSM-1620 model which has a rotating dial for adjusting the steam output (3 settings). I would recommend spending a little bit extra for this model instead of the other models which do not have this adjustment. Also, Black+Decker is touting this as an AutoSelect Technology. How is a manually adjustable knob classified as AutoSelect? It is stuff like this that gives a bad name to companies. In spite of this, it is a good product worth buying.

Product functionality is good but Product quality is not upto the mark. The water tank was leaking and to get it fixed in warranty was going like going to hell. You need to chase both Product customer care aswell as amazon. Better to but with directly with black + decker for warranty amazon is least bothered after the sale from my experience.

I was disappointed with the product and had to return it since it would leave white streaks on the floor after using the steam mop. Initially, we thought maybe we were using some wrong settings. So tried all possible things but it would still leave marks on the floor. Our flooring is tiles not sure if this works differently on marble or granite. But overall the experience for us was not so great. Also, it is a little heavy to use.

This product is really good and does the job effectively.The long cord helps .

The product is as per description and was delivered before scheduled date. Till now all the equipment is operating well. Will update after 3 month of usage.
