The light stays on from the beginning instead of changing gradually depending on the level of charge. The look and feel of the product tells you from a distance that it is not an original Canon product. Amazon should ban items like this and sellers like these from using this site

The charger came from Hong Kong so took about a week to arrive. It works well though.

Being colour blind, I find battery chargers with a green and red light to indicate when fully charged unhelpful. With this one I don't have that problem, as it simply stops blinking. It does the job perfectly.

This is a straight-forward Battery Charger, that does what it says on the label. However, if you don't have one, your batteries will discharge, and you will not be able to use your camera....and I'd be lost without mine! Incidentally, delivery was really quick......

Charger didnt appear to be a genuine Canon item, or not built as well as the charger that came with the camera. Broke within 6 weeks.

I bought a third party charger to save money instead of buying this one. The third party charger died after about 3 months for no obvious reason. Then I bought this one. It works perfectly, I expect it will for the foreseeable future, I've never had a problem with official Canon merchandise. AND, it came with power cords compatible with just about every type of wall socket in existence (very convenient if you travel like I do). Don't waste your time and money on a third party piece of junk. Buy this charger instead.

I bought this as my son was travelling out of country and the reviews indicated that charger came with cables for all countries. Not the case! Only came with a cord for the US. Looking back at the product description, there is no indication of what cables come with the charger. If it used to come with many cables, Canon no longer includes them. On contacting Canon, they told me I could buy the other cables at an electronics store. Not what I expected. Worked fine for US, but didn't fit what I expected.

I had previously bought some super cheap knock-off Chinese chargers trying to save money thinking that the official Canon one wasn't worth the money. BOY was I wrong, the first one blew up on me with a loud and concerning POP and the second one just quit working.So if you're considering a 3rd-party charger I'd say just stick with Canon and save yourself the trouble, it's worth it in the long run.

won't charge half of my batteries and it feels like pure junk.On this item i would say avoid it.The one i got does not look like the one in the picture and does not say canon on it.
