Wish I'd found this a year ago!
I wish I had found this a year ago when I built my grand daughter's sandbox! It works great and stays in place even with strong winds. The rain does puddle up in it, but I've learned to siphon most of it off before taking the cover off...or it spills into the sandbox. Hope it holds up this winter!!

Prevent Debris but Not All Water
Bought this for our kids 6' x 6' x 8" (LxWxD) sandbox and it is plenty large enough (its probably close to 6.5' square, not including the side depth). The cord to synch it goes all the way around which helps secure it but does take some adjusting to get it somewhat snug. Haven't had much wind so I can't say how well it will hold up in a storm. We've had a fair amount of rain over the few days we've had it. Most has pooled on the top but some has seeped in through the middle seam. I plan to use a tent seem sealer product to see if it helps. The sandbox borders the forest with large trees overhanging it. While the cover is covered in debris from the rain and trees, the sand was completely clean under the cover. It was also easy to remove, even with the pooled water, and keep the debris and water out of the sandbox. For the price I paid ($23USD), it has so far proved to be a wise investment.

Fits perfect
Fits our 47x47 sandbox perfectly. We put bricks on top just in case but we also have big dogs that play outside and didn't want any accidental running away with it.

Doesn’t block water
Every time it rains the sand is soaked. Worthless. And the sizing doesn’t make sense.

Order exact size for your sandbox or cover won't be taut
My sandbox is 42 inches square, smaller than the smallest cover size. Since the cover has a drawstring, I thought it would work. It doesn't. Even if I tighten it as much as it will go, it begins to sag and collect water. I have to bail the sandbox cover after each rainstorm. It isn't perfectly watertight, but that alone wouldn't be a problem. It is a nice material and a good value for the money. If your sandbox doesn't fit its size exactly, however, I recommend you keep looking.

Very happy.
I purchased this item to protect my hot tub cover from the elements. I'm very please with it so far. I was able to get a perfect fit because of the drawstrings. It keeps the water and the dirt off the cover. I can imagine that it would perform on a sandbox very well. The only thing I will say is that it with regular on and off use you need to be careful not to tear it but I do think it will hold up well under normal regular care.

Too big and doesn't stay on
Our sandbox is inbetween the two sizes of cover so I went with the bigger one and it did not work for us at all. Because its too big it does not cinch down enough to stay put and blew off with the slightest wind. We started putting a rock in the middle to hold it down but then when it rained the water pools and ends up pouring into the box. It might work better if they offered more sizes or made it so you can tighten it down farther. The material is also very thin so I doubt it would last through more than a single winter. Just not really a practical solution.

Works, But...
This works, but it comes off of the sandbox pretty easily if there's wind
