HTG Supply Garden Cloche Plant Protector Bell - Reusable Vented Plastic Dome

Kickstarted my growing season by a month! We had a crazy spring — cool and wet, with snow in May and frost in June — and these cloches allowed me to get my tomatoes in well before I normally would.Pros: the cloches create a mini greenhouse effect and retain a ton of moisture that would otherwise evaporate, keeping your plants from going thirsty between waterings. They kept the soil and plants warm, and protected them from the aforementioned snow and frost.Cons: the plastic is quite thin — think Solo cup — and will crumple if you’re not careful. You also need to stake them down with something so they don’t end up scattered across your yard after some wind. I put a stake through one of the two vent holes at the top and it held them in place. Also the stickers didn’t come off easily, but that’s just a minor cosmetic issue.

These work well for ground plants cuz u can nail them to ground. Not great for potted plants cuz it blows away.

These are AMAzing. I could find nothing this size, save for glass ones which are not practical.Perfect for rehabbing orchids!Yes, they are thin, but certainly useful as is. They have a nice turn-adjustment on top for adjusting amount of ventilation.A perfect balance between price and utility.Off I go to order more!

I live in a state which has very low humidity, and my new “humidity-loving” Snow White Waffle indoor plant was constantly drying out way too fast, becoming “crispy”, so I began searching for a way to give it an environment more to its liking, while still having it where I could enjoy seeing its lovely and uniquely colorful leaves. That’s when I came across THIS large, clear plastic plant protector bell. It is the perfect size (with even a little extra room yet for my plant to keep growing), it’s light weight and portable, has 2 “vents” on the top for adjusting the humidity…EXACTLY as described. My plant is doing so MUCH better (happier?) now, and looks beautiful in the “bell”. The “bell” arrived well-boxed and quicker than expected. Perfect! I would buy again.

These cloches are easy to use, easy to store and do a great job. This is my third set and I have a set that has been in use every year since 2014. The older ones are no longer clear and have a yellow caste, but they still do the job.

I only used them indoors, so not really a good measure of how well they worked. They did work for what I wanted though, just waaayyy too big! That was my fault. I over & underestimated sizing so that's on me. They arrived in great condition, so kudos on that. Maybe another time I can use them outside & see what they can really do!

I ordered ten of these to get a price break. They arrived a little late which wasn't a big deal, even though the rainy weather had finally turned. The first four domes came out of the box looking great and the scotch tape that holds the stakes as well as the big HTS label came off very easily (see picture holding one complete label). Applied these to some recently planted hot peppers and looked forward to using more in my garden. Unfortunately the next 6 domes turned out to be apparently old stock with labels that wouldn't come by off, even with the top layer peeled off when and soaked in Goo Gone. In addition, two of these domes also had a (manufacturing) defect which is difficult to see in the pictures. I am still considering sending them all back for a refund as I just don't have the time to spend scraping off the remaing labels labels with my nails/fingers soaked in Goo Off while carefully appling pressure from the inside to avoid damaging the thin material. One additional issue was a set of missing tie down spikes, not a big deal by itself but, all things considered, another letdown. I suspect the delay in shipment may have been caused by a lack of new stock and the old stock with hardened label was thrown in to get the shipment out the door. Very disappointed in what appears to be a decent product when new stock is delivered.

this is a bit pricy for what you get, it is a flimsy, which was expected. it does not come with a bottom.
