Painless Codliver oil
Both I and my 7 year old boy take this. It tastes fine, very, very little fish after taste. No fish smell. As far as a supplemetn goes, this one is a keeper in terms of quality and value for the price. The advantage of Codfish oil over fish oil in the winter is the Vitamin D supplementation. We like this very much.

Medicinal tasting
I'm sure the basic cod liver oil is a good product, but I can't stand the medicinal cherry taste. It might be OK in another or no flavor.

Great benefits!
I'm going to be frank, this stuff SUCKS to take down. It's a little fishy, especially on the outside of the bottle for whatever reason. The cherry flavor makes it a little easier to stand. I LOVE that there is only Cod liver oil and cherry flavor as the ingredients. Fermented stuff I hear isn't as beneficial or effective as this stuff. I wish I could stuff this in pills and just down those, but an eyedropper sure helps to take it as far back in the mouth as comfortable to avoid the full-mouth flavor of it! Haha! The health benefits outweigh the texture and taste tenfold, so I just deal with it. Quality product! Will update on the benefits long-term.

Everyone, take your fatty acids!
Fatty acids are very important to human health; everyone needs to be taking more fish oil. If you're already taking fish oil in tablet form, look at the EPA/DHA values. Both, commonly known as Omega-3, are essential fatty acids; they cannot be synthesized by the human body but are vital for normal metabolism. Recent studies showing much higher intakes of omega-3 fatty acids in your diet can help improve many functions of your life.Originally I tried the unflavored version. I can down it no problem, but it wasn't the most pleasant tasting in the beginning. I got used to it. I like Cherry a lot more. I was skeptical of mint, but it's heavenly in comparison to the others. I'd recommend that flavor.Good EPA/DHA for your dollar. I find it easier than swallowing fish oil tablets.

Notice a major difference in joint pain issues but OMG the taste is nasty!
Definitely better quality than the store brand stuff at Vitamin Shoppe (tho that really isn't saying much) but the cherry flavor does NOT cover the fishy taste. Gave this one a shot because it was available on subscribe-and-save, but I think I'll just wait and hope they get a citrus flavor of this brand in that because I can barely choke (and keep) this stuff down even with all the tricks to reduce fish burps (following it with a chamomile tea chaser helps dramatically but not quite enough). I have a lot of soft tissue issues and I could tell this was making a difference within a few days of taking it at bedtime (clicking noises from my knees were reduced by at least half and I was able to move a lot better in the morning) but it feels like punishment to take the stuff. Bleh. Really doesn't help that I strongly dislike seafood to begin with. If you enjoy sushi you'll probably be fine. This stuff WILL make your breath smell like you've just enjoyed a sushi buffet.

Doesnt resemble anything cherry-like
The oil itself tastes pretty mild. I don't think it needs any help going down. If anything, the liver oil flavor makes it easier to handle the flavoring Twinlab added. That tastes like the worst imaginable off-brand cough syrup, years out of date and found at the back of a cabinet with a crusty cap. Why, why would they use this in a health product? Why do they even offer flavors, period?!If you're wondering, I bought this one because it was cheaper than the other flavors, which were cheaper than plain Twinlab. And, Twinlab was cheaper than all the other brands.

Worst tasting fish oil I've ever had.
Imagine... the skankiest fish or seafood you've ever smelled (I know, you wouldn't eat it!!) then add fake cherry flavor. This is disgusting, but too late to return it. I was so offended by the taste I will never buy another twin lab product.I've had near-fishy cod liver oil, I could always feel it working, this stuff is rancid. (no it is not past the expiration date)I would recommend Norwegian fish oil products or Swanson vitamins label fish oil or Carlson brand.I recently got some Green Pastures Blue Ice Cinnamon flav. fermented cod liver oil, it is fantastic and really worth the $$$.
