The B+W filters are made in Germany, and they have brass frames not aluminum.
I use this Circular Polarizer on a 24-70mm Nikon Z mount lens.The brass frame filter can be screwed on top of an aluminum frame filter such as a Hoya HD3 filter, without binding, and it has a milled slot to put a #16 size rubber band so it does not rattle or fall off. So I never ever remove the HD3 UV filter.

Works with Sony RX100 VII (M7)
Love this filter. I use it on my Sony RX100 VII with Kamerar MagFilter 55mm Threaded Adapter Ring. It shows slight vignetting at 24mm (the widest lens setting). Vignetting goes away from 28mm and up. There is no vignetting when shooting photos at 16:9 or 16:9 video at any focal length.

Quality of the filter and the Truth about Potential counterfeits
[State of counterfeits in December 2021 and how to completely avoid them]_______________________________________________________________________________________________This is an extremely high quality, Brass filter. All version of it are Brass.Using it for the past few days I have seen Zero issues with image sharpness at all, vignetting or distortion.Its heavy, Solid and extremely smooth to turn.However, I have noticed that when using this on a step up ring (52mm lens to 58mm filter) the step up ring makes it slightly harder to turn at specific points.However, that probably say more about the step up ring than this filter.The F-Pro version reduces about 1 and 1/3rd stops of light. So you can use this as a 1 stop ND filter too.Other than that the color is amazing, Polarization is amazing and I am extremely happy I paid premium for this over a $20 filter._______________________________________________________________________________________________When it comes to counterfeits. I'd like to point something out for those who are worried.If you look at all the reviews submitted through Amazon concerning B+W Counterfeit filters.All of them. And I mean all of them going back almost a decade, are Always related to theXS-PRO (Slim Mount) version. Not the F-Pro version.If you are looking to avoid counterfeit B+W filters on Amazon get the F-Pro version.There are no documented cases of counterfeit F-Pro.B+W also has an authenticity checker on their website.Google "Schneider Kreuznach authenticity check".Keep in mind the country you bought the filter from Amazon on for the authenticity check country.If you purchased from .De Amazon, select Germany.If you purchased from .co.uk select UK.If you purchased from Amazon US select USetc.You won't regret spending money on a quality filter like this.

Excellent filter
Excellent glass. Very easy easy to attach and remove from the lens. I always carry it to be used on my Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S lens, for landscape or city photography.

Counterfeit Product
WARNING - The circular polarizers are counterfeit. The packaging is not original and the bar code indicates this is not a genuine B&W product. There are a ton of counterfeit B&W filters floating around and unfortunately as of 10/23/22 these are not genuine.

Vignettes heavily at 16mm on APS-C
I like the filter. I didn't receive a fake and it worked well. Sharpness is excellent.Polarizing effect is good.The biggest downside is that I was using this on an APS-C lens and it vignettes heavily at 16mm. The vignette is present up to at least 24mm.Might work on FF lenses at 24mm but I didn't test that out.So I returned it and will be getting a slim filter instead.

So far so good
Takes away glare like a charm. I posted a comparison of with vs without the filter (picture with white spot on floor was taken without the filter). Look at the difference on the wood. I also noticed a huge difference when shooting water and cars

Excellent Polarizer
This is the largest of the circular polarizers I've bought, but the B&W Circular polarizer does not fail to impress. I've used smaller polarizers from B&W for several years and they are really great. Sometimes I get the impression they are almost "too good".

Top-Qualität
Der B+W Zirkularer Polarisationsfilter besitzt eine Top-Qualität und wertet die Bilder auf, ohne zu übertreiben. D.h. es werden die Bilder sehr neutral aufgewertet und z.B. der blaue Himmel nicht künstlich aufgepeppt. Ein Profi-Polarisationsfilter, der seinen Preis hat. Dafür aber sehr gut anschraubbar ist und die Objektivkappe sicher trägt, was bei anderen Polarisationsfiltern nicht immer üblich ist.

Qualità teutonica!
Si tratta del mio primo filtro b+w. Dopo avere letto recensioni molto positive riguardo questo marchio di filtri ho deciso di acquistarlo per il mio nuovo tamron 24 70 F2.8 g2 visto che il mio vecchio hoya da 77mm non era più compatibile con la nuova lente.Per il prezzo al quale viene venduto ho preteso sin da subito un prodotto di qualità eccesla e devo dire di essere rimasto sin da subito particolarmente soddisfatto!Il prodotto è arrivato con ben 2 giorni di anticipo. L'imballaggio è stato accurato.Appena estratto dalla scatola ho potuto constatare subito l’effettiva qualità del prodotto.Il filtro è infatti costruito in maniera davvero eccellente, il peso stesso del prodotto è di molto superiore al mio vecchio polarizzatore, viene inoltre corredato da una piccola scatola di protezione utile per il trasporto o semplice protezione durante il non utilizzo.Negli anni ho potuto provare ed acquistare diversi filtri tra cui hoya, haida e Polaroid ma la differenza costruttiva con questi ultimi è davvero notevole. Con i filtri b+w ho infatti notato un salto di qualità molto percepibile. In particolare, la ghiera risulta fluidissima e precisa e vi permette di avere un controllo sul totale sul polarizzatore in qualsiasi situazione in qualsiasi situazione. Ottimo anche l'innesto a vite che risulta molto semplice da rimuovere ma allo stesso tempo davvero molto saldo una volta installato, presenta inoltre una filettatura esterna che lo rende compatibile con ulteriori filtri per esempio di tipo ND.Sul funzionamento generale c'è poco da dire, la qualità del vetro è incredibile, la nitidezza non viene assolutamente diminuita e le aberrazioni sono facilmente controllabili. Il prezzo è ovviamente la nota dolente dell'insieme che purtroppo va molto al di sopra di altri marchi più blasonati. Se decidete però di acquistare un gioiellino come questo potrete stare sicuri di aver acquistato un prodotto resistentissimo e di qualità eccelsa anche chiamata qualità teutonica :).

la presentación del artículo no es adecuada
el filtro ha llegado en fecha pero al abrir el envase veo que venía desmontado : aro giratorio por un lado, filtro por otro y rosca por otro, los artículos de marcas conocidas o de cierta calidad no deberían venir así.
