Good diapers. Decent value
Diapers are one of those things I am on the fence about, ethically speaking. They are a huge resource waste and take up landfill space and all that jazz, but they make a really really hectic time in my life viable. No one wants to clean cloth diapers. And paying for someone else to do it is a huge cost around us. Plus the amount of water it takes is fairly amazing. So that was out for us. Whats left are no diapers or disposables, guess which way we went. So with disposables I wanted chlorine free for sure, scent free, everything free if possible. I tried a lot of diapers from other brands and found that these are a good compromise all around. They are not the most expensive or the cheapest, but seem to be worth their price to us. They are chlorine free but not entirely biodegradable like some others. They fit well, better than the more earth friendly options for sure, but not as well as huggies naturals. They hold a lot more than the more earth friendly options and even more than the huggies did (newborn sizes) but they seemed to hold less than generic target brand diapers do. Its only an issue for pee and then only an issue for sleeping since my son hates a wet diaper and will be very vocal about it until its changed. So he never sits in a wet diaper long enough for it to leak.I wish they were even MORE earth friendly, I really do, but these are better than store brands and even as good or better than other "green" diapers. Plus they work better than all the greener diapers we tried, and I tried to try them all. So we ended up going with this brand, Earths Best, as our go to diaper option with the target store brand diapers as our emergency backups. Amazon Mom has these on subscription for me, which is great, but I have to keep changing sizes. It does help on the cost that way though. Also the large package sizes offered by Amazon mean this is far less expensive than buying them in my local green friendly stores. And diapers never ever go to waste, some one else can always use your left overs.

Earth's Best vs Seventh Generation vs Nature Babycare
I was looking for the best chlorine free diaper, so after research I purchased one pack of each at my local store to compare them side by side and make the best choice for my baby. Here are my thoughts:EARTH'S BEST* true to size* fit very similar to Pampers Sensitive* wide and long tabs allowing for great fit (didn't have any problems with straps falling of the diaper)* absorbing material all way to the back, it contains corn flour which means less gel staff...* superb absorbency, no leaks even overnight, very few blowouts but it is understandable since my baby is breastfed.* not as soft as pampers but it doesn't bother aether me or my baby* white colorSEVENTH GENERATION* run small, you would have to go size up in the middle of lbs range suggested on the package and as all diapers they get more expensive/diaper with each size* narrower then Earths Best or Pampers, it might fit great babies with big thighs...* wide, very nice tabs* absorbing material does not go us high in the back as in Earths Best.* ok absorbency, didn't have any leaks but quite a few blowouts, i think it is because they are shorter in the back than EB* softer than EB but not us Pampers* they are brown, which I really like, but it might bother othersNATURE BABYCARE* run true to size* wider than all above* tabs have rough edges which irritated my baby skin leaving red marks. They do not attach to any other place than in the front, it was not an issue for me, but it may somehow interfere with getting a good fit* absorbing material all way from front to back* the best absorbency I found!!! They really hold a lot. I had blowouts because they just do not feet my baby well.* not soft at all, since they have a lot of absorbing material* white with very cute print on the whole diaper, love it* biodegradableSummary:I fell in love with Nature Babycare form the first time I used them, but later on I noticed problems with tabs irritating my baby's skin, so I used the rest of the package for overnight which they are great for. Seventh Generation lost some points because of the size of the diaper and the fact that they are short which resulted in more blowouts than when I was using any other diaper... At the end I chose Earth's Best because of excellent absorbency and great fit for my baby.

Best earth friendly diaper we've tried
We used Pampers cruisers with baby #1, but by the time #2 showed up, Pampers had rejiggered their diapers and made them cheap and nasty. After our baby got a rash from them, I decided to go natural. I always wanted to try environmentally friendly, but had a bad experience with 7th generation Phillips with baby#1, so I assumed all chemical free diapers sucked. Not true! These are fabulous! I really like them--maybe even better than the old cruisers, because they don't leave lint all over the baby's bottom. My little one is now two and we've been using them for two years with no complaints. They aren't the softest diapers in the world on the outside, but they're soft on the inside and they are much softer than 7th generation, more generously cut (why are 7th gen diapers so snug and tiny?). The fasteners are really strong and you can readjust them several times with no problem, though they are so snug, that if you tug too hard to pull them open, you risk tearing them clean off. They aren't scented, but they have a nice clean smell. They are by far the most absorbent chlorine free diapers we've tried, and I've tried everything. They rarely (if ever) leak, dont smell, and never irritate my little sensitive guy.My only complain is that I can't find them anywhere but online. Because of this, I've basically ended up trying every brand under the sun (7th gen, pampers cruisers, pampers baby dry, huggies, all of the other chlorine free diapers they sell at duane reade) when we ran out, because we'd have to wait to get more from amazon. At least I can make an honest comparison, and really do feel these are the best. Worth the trouble of waiting for them to ship.
