No, it shouldn’t be used. Buffers usually spin at 2000-3000rpm. This spins at 5000 rpm. Firstly, buffing accessories usually aren’t rated for that rpm. If you were to use a buffing wheel on this, you’d risk ruining buffing pads, or your workpiece.

Disappointed with Made in China tool

I bought this tool only to see that it was Made in China when it arrived so I returned this one. Try finding an American made product these days but at this price I expect it. I would up finding a new-old-stock US made one on eBay for a similar price and bought that. The Chinese one probably would have worked well but it bothered me - my American made one had worked well, is extremely powerful and can be used all day without any performance issues. This ting is heavy but if you need a big grinder, it's the only way to go! Five stars for the US-made version.
