Super Hot Red Car Polish
I bought this turtle wax polish hoping to fill in the paint cracks that were in my 93 Firebird. This stuff did the trick. It even fixed the crappy GM paint that was starting to crack on the rear bumper. The did not make my car showroom quality by any means, but it really does looks 80% better. I am very impressed with this product. However, do not be sold by the chapstick tube that comes with the bottle. This did not work at all. It did not fill in any large nicks or holes. The only way to fix things like that would be to repaint the car. Also, when you put the wax on the car it is very hard to tell what you waxed because the red blends in so well with the paint.Overall this product is a very good buy for the price and for an aging paint job. I have yet to see how long the polish will last on the car but I am hopeful!

Made my van look MUCH better!
My 2003 Honda Odyssey was badly pitted from years of highway driving. I decided to try this figuring that it can't make my van look worse. I was VERY pleased with the results. The Colorstick filled in many of the larger pits (even though the color was darker than my van.) But darker red spots look better than white pit marks. Then applying the red wax helped with the finer pit marks. Applying with a sponge worked better than a cloth, it helped fill in the marks. If you don't get up and look at the front hood with a magnifying glass it looks pretty darn good for little money and some elbow grease!

Polish good; chipstik not quite.
I have a 2002 Rally Red Camaro that I bought this wax for. I've realized that the chipsticks have a variety of color hues and the one I ended up with was "dark red". The lighter shades of red would have been better for my particular color; but that's ok because I only have about 3 chips on the entire car. The polish works great for me, and really makes the rally red color 'pop' in the sunlight.

Good stuff
I learned about color wax about 12 years ago. My sister got it at the local Discount Auto. It is great, because you know how wax can sometimes leave white film on old bug spots or scratches, well when you have the color it doesn't do that. My car is six years old and a beautiful dark sparkling red. I wish I could have a darker red color wax, but it is better that white wax. It is really great for red and black cars (black color of course on black). I highly recommend it if you don't have the money to have you car buffed or repainted. No one else will notice the old spots, it just looks shiny from a distance and nobody looks as close as you do to your own vehicle.

Works great - just follow the directions.
This stuff covers scratches that go down to the primer, but not chips or deep scratches all the way to the metal. I was only expecting the former, and it does a great job of that. If you need to cover chips or scratches all the way down to the metal, you're going to need touchup paint. There's no getting around it.For shallow scratches, follow the directions and this will work great.

Terrible don't buy!
My wife's 2006 Toyota Sienna is red and if you don't have a perfect match in color then you get what I did, a red van with reddish pink scratches covered and standing out all over the place. The colored wax stains your hands, rags used to buff and it shows up for weeks down the road in every little crevice you missed removing it from, since it is a glowing pinkish red. I tossed it in the garbage right after finishing waxing the car the first time. I was wondering why you don't see this product made by a well known company like Turtle Wax anymore. It was actually a good idea if the auto manufacturers made it themselves to match each specific paint color. But just one red color to cover all the reds out there won't work. Save your money.

MEssy and the end result not worth the mess
I bought this product in two colors (Red and Black) for use on a 10 yr old Taurus and a 20 yr old beater Nissan Sentra whose paint had seen it's better days. I washed both vehicles thoroughly and then applied Meguiar's M4916 Heavy Duty Oxidation Remover with a 7" buffer to remove all the old oxidation, washed the vehicles again and then waxed. After having endured the mess involved with the 10 yr old taurus I opted for using a conventional paste wax I had laying around for the 20 yr old Nissan. I applied two coats to each vehicle and machine buffed each coat. Washed again and applied a coat of Nu Finish to each as a sealant. In the end, the faded old Nissan (red) with the conventional wax now looks newer than the 10 yr old Taurus with the much better paint condition and gleams like a new penny.Bottom line, while the product works ok the horrendous mess and the lukewarm result would cause me to select more conventional products in the future (Did I mention the mess?)

TurtleWax Color Cure Red Wax
I have a red '06 Hyundai Elantra with 63,000 highway miles. The front of the car was beginning to show a lot of chips because of road debris striking the car. Touch up paint just made the finish look worse as I couldn't blend it level with the existing paint on the car. Turtle Wax Color Cure with the red paint stick, on the other hand, filled in the nicks and chips and after an application of the wax my car looks almost new. I've used the green color on a previous car and had the same results, a low cost cover up for a pitted finish. Too bad Turtle Wax now only makes this wax in black and red.
