5.11 Tactical Men's Ripstop TDU Long Sleeve Shirt, Teflon Treated, Style 72002

I received this well made, tough shirt for Christmas. As noted in the description, the size runs large to accommodate body armor. As a result, the 4X works just fine as a light jacket as I intended. With its squared off tails, my wife and daughter say that it even looks like a jacket. As with my other shirts of this brand and style, the hidden document pockets, which are closed with Velcro, make excellent CCW pockets for lightweight, thin pistols. I carry a pair of Browning M1955 .380''s. In the market today there are a number of lighter and smaller, if not thinner, choices which would be even more convenient to carry.Unlike my older shirts of this style, the front is fastened with buttons. My older shirts had buttons for show but actually unzipped to open, giving easier and faster access to concealed pockets available in some undershirts.

This shirt is similar to a tarp sewn into a shirt. It's hard and inflexible, which makes it not very comfortable with direct contact on skin but on the upside it's very strong and resistant to catching on anything. It's not going to keep you warm, and it's not going to keep you cool. It's impermeable to water, both getting in our out. When you sweat, it literally beads up on the inside of the shirt, and then runs down along your skin. This pretty much makes this a deal breaker, unless you are using this shirt in place of a parka. It might be useful in a specific situation, but most of the time it's just sweaty and uncomfortable. Fitment is definitely on the larger/American side.

This shirt is well made and thick enough for fall/winter and spring. 5.11 makes a light weight version for summer time as well. Having both I prefer the thicker material for the colder months. There are plenty of pockets and the material is fairly stain and water resistant. These also cost less than the inflated prices at the uniform stores. Be cautious about where you take the shirt for alterations or patches as some uniform stores charge a 'penalty' fee for alterations and patches if you don't buy direct from the uniform store mitigating any savings from the online purchase. The material wears well and doesn't fade as quickly as other brands. I highly recommend this shirt.

I am a military veteran and this shirt is made to exact same standard as military issued field uniforms.It costs a bit more than Propper, Dickies and the like but if you are looking for the feel and lookof your former military days than go for it. The ripstop material is durable and semi water resistant.After several washes and dry cleaning water will still bead up on the fabric.I ordered the 3x (6' 2" 285 lbs.) and it fits nicely and if you have a Beer, Balloon or Buffalo Wing Belly than3x is right for you.

Purchased the shirt in L and it runs a little larger than most men's size L. That's a good thing in the sleeves for my purchase needs, however the waist and hips are big, even to cover a conceal carry which is why I purchased this shirt (not made to tuck in). Great pockets (hidden document at chest level), cut away shoulders allow for full range of motion. Stain and soil resistant, very durable ripstop material.The straight cut bottom hem is great for wearing out (untucked) for 'carrying concealed' and as this runs a little large will allow for wearing thermals under in the cold is desired. Not 'oversized' by any means just larger than average L. This is not a fitted shirt, it is a straight cut through the body.Well made, durable, recommended.

Ordered this for office wear for Fall. As with most 5.11 shirts, this is sized for fitting over soft body armor. If you're not planning on wearing Kevlar to the office, consider ordering one size down. These are comfortable, practical and durable, and I'll probably be ordering more to add to my wardrobe in the near future.

I purchased this pricey product for the pockets design alone. Wish the material was not so lint-gathering and wanted something more wick-away in fabric material. Otherwise, pleased with the design and cotton quality. I want a button fly, 8 cargo pockets with 3 strong button closures in wickaway cotton/poly blend with hidden pockets. The website pissed me off; it was hard to navigate to find the specific pants I wanted to buy. When I ask for 8 pockets, I don't want to be shown 6 pocket pants. Men need pockets where things don't fall out.

I am a military veteran and if you seeking that same military grade feel from your BDU/TCU then this 5.11 ripstopis it. I ordered the 3x (6' 2 285 lbs. ) and it fits just right. Its been over a year so my Olive Drab green has begunto fade a bit but overall the quality was well worth the extra money you'll spend over cheaper ripstop versions.

En mi opinión la calidad de esta camisa es de las mejores, me atrevería a decir que es muchísimo mejor que Columbia (marca que podría ser de la misma categoría). Se ve y se siente resistente, el recubrimiento de teflon la mantiene limpia y las ventilaciones la mantienen super fresca. La recomiendo mucho.Sin embargo, yo había pensado que el corte sería el mismo que el de las TacLite Professional, y me encontré con que es completamente otro diseño. Este diseño es mucho más parecido al de una camisa de oficial de policía, la tela es más que el doble de gruesa y las mangas no vienen con opción a enrollarse.La verdad es que es un buen producto en cuanto a calidad, pero me parece mucho más cómoda las TacLite Professional para el uso diario.

Genial das Hemd! Sehr robust, eher schon eine Jacke, genauso wünschte ich mir es. XL passt bei mir bei 1.90m 86kg Die Beschichtung ist sehr sehr gut, man könnte das Hemd als Trinkgefäß benutzen ;)

Rugged. Heavy duty. Made for shooters. This is a lifetime garment. Heavy shirt more rugged than some light jackets. Love 5.11!!

El material es muy duro al tacto, recomiendo utilizar playera interior, me irritó un poco el cuello

Das Hemd ist enorm stabil, sieht gut aus und sitzt hervoragend. Es entspricht eher einer leichten Jacke als einem typischen Hemd, v.a. durch das relativ schwere unkaputtbare Material.
