Does exactly what it says
I have done a LOT of research on these, and because of the reviews it was getting, and because of the cheap price, I decided to go with this one instead of an official one, or even the Nyko one. Many Nyko products have broken on me just because of age. I can't say that about this one at this point considering I have only had it for about a week and a half, but here's what I can say about it.I really like this adapter. Assuming your Wii is up on it's docking station, being vertical, the chord length is perfect as the adapter does not pull on the USB port inside the Wii at all. This was something I was concerned about in purchasing this, but there weren't any problems.I was also concerned about how tight the ethernet plug would be inside this adapter. It is the perfect size all around. It is not a loose fit, but it isn't a super ridiculous tight fit so that you couldn't get it out. It is perfect. The overall size of the adapter really isn't that big. I'm not looking at it right now, but it's about 3 inches long and maybe an inch wide. It's really not that big. They did a good job making this product. It actually feels like it's a solid piece of equipment, which is great because I believe it will last a long time.As far as performance is concerned, it works. I have a wired connection of 100Mbps and it does wonders. I play Netflix on my Wii, and even when other people are using the internet, I have not even had one little hiccup. I have also tested this out on Super Smash Bros. Brawl (which is one of the most internet demanding games Nintendo came out with), and though the people who I was playing didn't have a wired connection, I definitely noticed a difference when I was wired into the internet. There was less lag.Because this was made for the Wii specifically, no drivers were needed to install it. All I had to do was plug it into my Wii, plug the ethernet cable into it, and change my internet settings on the Wii. I've heard of people having to restart their Wii in order for the adapter to be recognized, but I didn't have to do that.Overall, I love the way it looks, feels, works. I also like that it seems like it's going to last a long time, probably even longer than the Wii itself. I would recommend this to anybody who wants a wired connection for their Wii.

It Actually Worked!
I recently got The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask on Virtual Console as a reward on Club Nintendo. However, I also had to update my Wii's firmware before being able to download the game. Because I live on a campus whose Wi-Fi requires a username and password login, I cannot use it with my Wii. We tried using a mobile hotspot, but because we had to update the firmware, the hotspot just couldn't hold out for long. I was hesitant to buy this LAN adapter because I had heard many people say that if you did not get the Nintendo brand Wi-Fi adapter, you would have no luck. Despite all the good reviews, I doubted that this would work and honestly just bought it because I didn't know what else to try. However, it worked like a charm and was also a pretty decent speed for downloading! Our campus' internet connection isn't the greatest, but I felt that the speed was comparable to what I would normally get from an Ethernet cable connected to my laptop. We downloaded both the firmware update AND Majora's Mask in about 10 minutes. I was so happy that it worked, and it was a much cheaper alternative to the hard-to-find Nintendo version!

Solved my problem
I bought this adapter because I was seeing errors in the Netflix channel. Much troubleshooting indicated that the problem was most likely the wireless signal I was using (though the wireless signal hadn't been a problem for years and I was never able to troubleshoot wireless connectivity with the Wii much). Anyway, once I hooked the adapter up to my router...no more problems with Netflix. I've checked the speed of the download and it is not impressive, but I just wanted to watch TV and it got that done so...yay.

It works, not the best fit and finish... It gets the Wii off my WiFi
A USB ethernet dongle isn't the hardest item to produce these days, so the poor fit of the stylized housing (It looks like they tried to match the look of the Wii with this thing), is somewhat disappointing. However the function is spot on so far. If my lights on my switch are to be believed, this is connecting at 10/100 speed which is fine. On the wired network the Wii doesn't slow anything else down. The most important reason for me to buy this was to get the one remaining Wireless G item OFF of my WiFi network. I now have my router Access Point configured for Wireless N, and everything connects / transfers in the 130+ mb/s range instead of being lucky to get 50mb/s. The Wii works exactly as it should, setup was easy through the Wii interface, no drivers or anything like that needed, just plug it in, delete the Wireless connection, configure the wired connection, test, and play...
