Sony FE 28mm f/2 Lens - International Version (No Warranty)

Seems a good lens for the money.

Ok, some people might say, well the 28mm FOV is boring or stretches faces. None of that matters because this is a full frame lens. Digital full frame cameras have huge megapixels, plenty enough for cropping. And if you say, well, my lens is almost as good as my lens at 28mm at F8.0, then you are missing the point. You have to use this lens wide open or at 2.4 max for that "pop." This is a low light monster- it seems to suck in light, being slightly wider than normal. No, it is not a Zeiss, but some Zeiss lenses have a "dark" quality. This lens feels perfect at near F2.0 for weddings, street, and for indoor work. If your A7r has trouble catching kids indoors, then this lens can help by having both a wider view and being a prime, it focuses fast.Some random thoughts: Has the same build as the Sony E lenses (pretty good, but not tanklike), 49mm is a very common Sony E lens filter size, very lightweight, looks exactly like the 35mm/50mm, so much more universal than the 50mm, gives the camera body a snappy, responsive feel, sharper than any zoom, no stabilization, but not needed... will report back after printing large.
