6 Classic Albums

When I was a boy and everyone was an Elvis fan I was a Conway Twitty Fan. I liked Elvis but I LOVED Conway that growl in the voice sent shivers down my Spine. I have the Bear collection of Conway and that has everything this has and then some BUT it cost over $100 and this doesn't. Here is covered ALL Conway's Rock and Roll albums plus ALL his singles including Teasin' which was never really well known BUT a GREAT song. This set is the PERFECT way to get into early ROCK and ROLL Conway without spending a fortune and getting some of the BEST songs (from the 50 and 60 that you have never heard before) EVER. Awesome AWESOME collection.

Completes my Conway collection. Great addition to my Conway Collection. Listen to how Conway evolved into the superstar of country. A lot of songs in the Elvis style while retaining that classic Twitty Sound. Many of the recordings have the Jordinaires singing background. The biggest mistake that R.C.A. and the production team of King Creole made was dropping the song Danny that Conway renamed Lonley Blue Boy sang it as good as Elvis. Good move by Col. Tom Parker. It gave Conway a top 10 smash. The col.must have kicked himself over this. Conway in addition to his original recordings covers classic hits by others such as handyman, shake rattle roll, splish splash, dianna etc Great collection

This is certainly a interesting Cd put out by Real Gone Music. As much as I enjoyed this Cd, I found it interesting that Conway Twitty didn't have alot of success when he was a Rock n Roller. He had 3 top ten hits and 5 minor hits. It baffles me as to why he didn't have more chart success. His version of What A Dream is a tremendous song and it didn't even make the Billboard 100. Numerous of his other songs didn't do that well and most of them are good. The album, Rock and Roll Story, which is included in this CD, is highly recommended. All in all, if someone is into early rock n roll, this is a Cd worth having.

I didn't like Conway when he did the rock and roll. I didn't realize ALL the songs would be rock music and not any country. So I will try to resell this on ebay. Believe it or not I didn't like Elvis either. I LOVED Conway after he started doing country. As far as I'm concerned he's King of Country. Glad he finally found his groove in Country.

I'm a really unorthodox Conway twitty fan. I'm only 19 and everything about my appearance suggests I'd like classic goth music. But nope, it's twitty. I'm so glad to get my hands on his rock and roll years. These cds sound better than any I've ever owned before. I listen to this set for at least 3 hours every single day with my pet birds. That probably sounds incredibly unhealthy, I just can't explain enough how satisfied I am. A song of his does appear both on the 3rd and 4th discs, but that's okay. That tiny mistake doesn't mean anything to me

Don’t care for these! It sounds like he’s trying to be Elvis Presley before he became the country singer we love!

If you can't afford the Bear Family box set this is an adequate substitute but the packaging on these Real Gone sets leaves a lot to be desired. Considering they aren't paying royalties to the artist the least they could do is provide some information on the artist and pictures of the covers of the albums included.

Conway was one of a very special kind of singer,not only in Rock N Roll but also in country music.This covers so many good tracks made by Conway.Highly recommended for all these great songs thathe made special to his own special way of singing.B.Griffiths

Good cd covering early Lp issues from Conway very much influenced by Elvis and there is a few of his songs I liked the copy of The song Just Becouse up to this time my favourite version apart from Elvis was Bill Fury but I think Conways version just nails it . From early rock n roll to his all time classic It' Only Make Believe this is a good collection.
