This was used to display 21 coins - challenge, souvenirs, soccer toss, & a marathon race medal - of various sizes, the largest of which was 2.5”. Five coins will fit on one shelf, evenly spaced with room between. The paint finish is smooth and the hardware is sturdy, lock is cheap, but better than nothing. Thanks for the caution from a previous reviewer: support the cabinet when opening the door completely if hung on a wall with the hangers provided. If not, the cabinet becomes overweighted by the door and tips - causing your nicely spaced coins to tip.

Purchased for my husband. Very sturdy cabinet and quality materials - cabinet is classy and durable and has a small lock and key to keep the challenge coins safe on display. Delivered as advertised and price was very reasonable for the quality of cabinet. Highly recommend for a new collector.

Perfect gift for my military son. Size will hold many challenge coins of various shapes and sizes. Design is beautiful. I purchased black. It is lined with black velvet, and has “track” for coin display. Is sturdy enough to stand upright on shelf or be hung on the wall.

I bought this for my husband for our 5th anniversary (wood). He is in the army and needed a place to keep his challenge coins. It is beautifully made and the locking feature is definitely a bonus. The shelves are fixed and I think they should make moveable shelves. Most challenge coins are not uniform sizes and two of his coins did not fit on the shelves. I ended up routing some grooves into the shelves so I could push the bigger ones in. Overall worth the price, but I'd like to see a slight change in design.

This is a well constructed case. It arrived damage free because it was packaged with reinforced foam corners, a foam sheet protecting the glass, wrapped in plastic and placed in a bigger box appropriately marked "FRAGILE" & "GLASS". This item will be perfect for displaying the challenge coins I have obtained over the years. The black finish inside & out will enhance the coins. I highly recommend this product.

I gave this 5 starts, but I do have 1 complaint: The bottom row has no groove or block to keep the coins upright. It's vary annoying as any opening of the case causes multiple coins to fall over. Not something I do often, so not enough to detract too much. The other 4 shelves all work wonderfully, the frame is clean and well defined, the lock is kind of neat even though I won't use it (I leave the key in and everyone notices the key first). For the price compared to many others I looked at, this was just perfect for my simple needs. I wanted a display that didn't look cheap and held my coins - this was it!

I’m very pleased with this product. The shelves have grooves that make the coins stay up well. I also really like the hanging hardware that came with it. Much more sturdy than typical picture hanging hardware.

Purchased for my fiancé as a gift. It's an excellent size for him to start his challenge coin collection and looks great hanging on the wall. He loves that it locks, providing extra security. I highly recommend this display case!
