PDP LTD Classic Wood Hoop Snare - 7"x14"

Love the look - wood hoops with claw hooks and natural maple stain. Love the sound - do not expect to tune this snare drum high, think of the sound of a baseball bat smashing a birthday cake. Love the price - all PDP drums are incredibly priced for such a quality musical instrument.

Beautiful classic snare.

I bought this snare in hopes for a good vintage sound. It has exactly that, plus a wonderful tuning range. The problem I had was the room I play in, for our church, is very small(cafe like), I have to play with hot rods or brushes. This snare sounds GREAT with sticks, unfortunately that's not an option for me. The hot rods on this snare in our church had absolutely no resonance what so ever, like a wet cardboard box. NOT the snare's fault, just the room's requirements for no sticks. IF YOU WANT THAT EXTREMELY LOW TUNED FLOPPY-LIKE VINTAGE SOUND WITH STICKS, WOW THIS IS IT!!!The biggest problem I had, well the only problem, was the seller. GEAR NUTS.This was a free shipping item. I returned it in non-defective order. I paid to ship it back(to be expected of course), then they deducted the ORIGINAL shipping cost from them to me out of my refund. This is clearly stated in their return policy, it was my fault for not considering that AND they're not the only sellers that do that, in brutal honesty, it IS fair...BUT, with the number of online competitors that DON'T pull that crap, sellers that honor the original free shipping no matter what, makes dealing with Gear Nuts too costly of a risk for online shopping. i.e., you can't guarantee a customer will actually LIKE the product even in perfect, operable condition, so a customer has to risk losing shipping both ways...Fair or not, given the competition out there, I hope Gear Nuts enjoyed that $13 and change they got out of me, because that's the last they're gonna get from me. ever. as opposed to hundreds of dollars our church will be spending on improving instruments and sound in our building.

He's in love with this drum. It arrived so quickly. This drum had became his favorite!! I would definitely buy more!!!
