Working well so far......
This lamp has "PHI" blue ink printed on its bulb body and it is erasable if you use you hand to rub it, along with a sticker that has the serial number. My old lamp from the TV original has black marking on the bulb body with Philips name and serial number that is not erasable. According to the document in the shipping box, you can verify the bulb using the serial number from Philips. The lamp is very bright with the normal 75V that I measured. I bought this lamp to replace the old one that was used for about 9 years and recently it was dimming and became non watchable in daylight. The plastic housing material is not as good as the old one. There is a screw you need to tighten to push the housing in its position and just little more force it will crack the hole underneath the screw. Besides, there is slightly difference between this house and the old one on the way how the bulb is pressed on its position. The old one has two metal hooks that will clip on the housing wall and I believe it can provide little better heat spreading effect since they will most likely touching the much bigger heat sink structure that the lamp housing is sitting on. This new housing does not have these hooks but couple small metal pieces to press the lamp bulb. This may or may not affect the performance.I learned a big lesson during replace the lamp for my Samsung S7178W that I would like share here. I bought a similar lamp before this with same quality. After installed and watching for 7 days with beautiful picture then my TV started shutting down by itself with 3 LED lights flashing. The TV brightness was not adjustable for some reason while it was working. I thought it was the lamp was heating up and became defective so I returned it. When I got this lamp the problem was still the same that the TV will turn on for a few minutes and shut down itself. I started to search the internet but could not find definitive solution. I then bought a ballast and it did not solve the problem. The color wheel looks fine but when I use my finger to rotate it, it will only move about half turn. After I replace the color wheel the problem went away so it seems the old color wheel may not running properly with the rpm required after I replace the lamp possible due to the heat created with the new lamp.During the investigation of the issue, I have learned that the DLP light engine is quite sophisticate system so no wonder there is so many possibility to cause this 3 LED flashing problem that seems no definitive one solution to fix all the problems that people reported on Internet. The ballast is used to turn on the lamp and keep it on. There is digital circuits on the ballast to control and feedback the status of the lamp to the DMD board. The DMD board is the major control unit for the light engine. It has sensors to monitor the color wheel and the DMD engine too. So any of these components, such as lamp, ballast, color wheel, DMD chip, and the DMD board itself, having issue will likely shut down the TV automatically to protect the circuits. This sophisticate feedback system is making the debugging very difficult with special investigation tool. All other components are easy to be replaced and with reasonable price in Amazon, except the DMD board which is likely TV model specific and hard to find.

Brightness diminished after only one month.
-edit-After only one month of use, the brightness of the bulb has already dropped to unacceptable levels. I believe I may have been sent a cheap generic.I will be perusing a warranty replacement with the seller.——First off, this product is working great. My TV had gone on the fritz shutting down automatically after about 20 seconds of being powered on, and the lights flashing on the control panel indicated a bulb failure. I replaced the bulb with this and based on the past two days since I installed it, it’s working perfectly again and my TV looks great! With luck I’ll get another 6-8 years out of this bulb as I have my previous Philips bulbs. Installation was easy and the bulb assembly fit perfectly.I docked one star because this bulb is specifically advertised as a Philips brand bulb. Neither the packaging, nor anything on the bulb assembly gave any indication of its actual company of manufacture. I have no way of actually knowing if this is a Philips bulb or one of the poor quality $25 generics with an $80 price tag on it.

Have bought two, work great!
We bought our Samsung 7288W DLP TV in 2007 and have only replaced the bulb twice, the last time in 2019. We have the TV on at least 8 hours a day and it looks as good today as it did when new. So far the bulbs we've received have been genuine Phillips bulbs and they've lasted at least 3 years each.I can tell the bulb is wearing out when (1) it starts to get dimmer and (2) the colors get "faded".Anyway, highly recommended (assuming you actually get a Philips lamp)!

Really made well
The first from another 'vendor' for less never worked. This one was so much beefier right from the box. Easy to install and instant brightness. I had to find the old remote and change the setting to 'movie' just to tone down the light (brightness)! It was like a brand new TV. Well worth the money. Took a chance and didn't get the extended warranty. We'll see how that goes! Why? Because I had so much confidence in the seller. You could see the difference as soon as you opened the box. Would definitely buy anything from this seller.

High Quality OEM Lamp
I've had this lamp in my Samsung HL-S6187W 61" DLP TV for about a year. The picture quality and brightness is excellent. It was very easy to install and only took a few minutes. The price is fairly expensive, and I expect the bulb to last about three years. I looked into lower priced lamps from other companies, but I read a lot of reviews that said they give a lower quality, less bright picture and don't last as long. The lamp in my TV had gone out with no warning, and at the time it wasn't worth the $20-30 savings and potential headache if the lamp was low quality. So I decided to get this OEM lamp and not have to worry about anything.
