It will run continuously. Setting the timer is optional.

Will it block out snoring of spouse

Yes! The rain noise works perfectly to block out my husband’s snoring.

Can you use the machine and charge it at the same time? Will it take longer to charge that way? How long does it take to charge?

You can use it either way. I have twins so I don’t have time to pay attention to how long it takes to charge while using it vs the time it takes without using it.

Mine didn't coming with an adapter. Do I have to buy one?

There is no adaptor cord, just the charging cord.
