Sunology Body Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 Broad Spectrum Lotion, Sport, 2 Ounce Tube

2 of my children & I met some friends (family of 4) at the beach for a few days earlier this week & they got there a day before us and stayed a few days after us... they brought a popular spray on sport brand of 50 spf sunscreen & applied/reapplied per directions throughout their first day at the beach & all 4 of them were completely burned by the time we got there the next day... I brought one tube of this sunology sunscreen bcz it was just going to be 3 of us for 3 days... I was a little nervous about the small size of the tube lasting us, but shared our sunscreen with our friends because I knew it would be a better barrier against the sun & they were definitely going to need that to be able to enjoy the rest of their time on the beach... that little tube went a long way & after 3 days, we had only used a little more than half the tube for a total of 7 of us... my children & I left the beach on the 3rd day no darker than we came & with no signs of burning at all... my friends were finally starting to recover from their burns & were able to still enjoy their time on the beach bcz they stopped using their sunscreen & only used ours, along with wearing t-shirts over their bathing suits... we left behind what was left of the sunscreen so they could use it the rest of their week there... this will definitely be our go to sunscreen from now on... I was very imprrssed... I read a lot of reviews about it going on white & not blending well... I didn't find this to be too much of an issue because a little went a long way and it seemed to blend well... I will say that when showering at the end of the day, it wasn't super easy to wash off & it felt like there was still a layer there, but that just made me realize how well it was staying while we were in the water the whole day, so I didn't mind that at all... it didn't leave me feeling greasy or gross after the shower, just like I had already applied lotion or moisturizer...

I found Sunology by accident in my supermarket, found that it really worked and subsequently shopped for additional tubes on Amazon. The product is very creamy and spreads and rubs in quite easily. Of course, being a zinc sun protection product, it stays on the top of the skin and can rub off on clothes and furniture. To date I haven't found anything that takes the 'white' stuff off of my furniture or car seats and arm rests.I went to Sunology's website and found other users asking the same question - 'how to remove the white stuff from furniture'. To date, no answer found and even after emailing Sunology direct, still no answer from them.So if the rubbing off is not a concern for you, the product works very well and is quite water proof. It will, however, form white lines in the creases of your skin. You can rub them away easily enough, but then you have the white cream on your hands again. So, it works, but....

My family is in the process of migrating to all natural/organic sunscreens given our concern about chemicals in the traditional "big brand" products. I ordered a variety of these products from different companies to find the ones we liked the most, including two tubes of this product from Sunology. Unfortunately both tubes had an expiration date of December 2018. It's early July 2018 right now... I recognize that some people order sunscreen right before a trip or the product's intended use, but selling a product with only 4-5 months of usable timeframe is unacceptable in my opinion. For comparison, the other 5-6 products I ordered from other companies all arrived with expiration dates ranging from late 2019 to late 2020 (1-2 years). That seems more appropriate. From my email correspondence with the company, it seems this is known to Sunology and typical for them.

This is the only sunscreen that I will use from now on. It's thick and yes, if you don't rub it in, it leaves a residue. It is incredibly hard to wash out but it is also the reason why I have not had a sunburn this entire summer. I cannot recommend this enough. Yes, it is expensive but it is worth the money to not have the pain of a sun burn or future skin cancer. This is the only sunscreen I buy now.I should also mention that their customer service is phenomenal. They sent me the wrong product (I ordered body and they sent me the kids version) and not only did they send me a HANDWRITTEN NOTE apologizing but a coupon for a future purchase and my regular purchase free of charge! This is a company that has a product that works and they care about their customers! I am a lifetime buyer of Sunology products!

I recently found out how many harmful ingredients that many companies are putting intotheir sunscreens. I ordered Sunology because of the safe ingredients it contains.I am a recent cancer survivor and must be very careful to use a product that is gentleand filters out the harmful UV rays.I find that putting Sunology in the palm of one hand and rubbing my hands together helps thisproduct to be easier to apply. I notice that it is thick and goes on in a bit of a white covering, butwith rubbing, disperses into the skin nicely.I was out in the sun all afternoon the other day and did not burn. I am very happy to have found this product!

All thick zinc oxide barrier sun creams leave some white pasty look and are slightly time consuming to apply. However the health benefits far out weigh these small issues!Two Great Tips When applying!1. Smooth on a light weight moisture lotion first so your sunscreen will spread more easily!2. Sprinkle unsweetened cocoa powder on your skin and blend to make the white zinc turn a pretty tan color. You smell great and cocoa takes you a shade darker! It's a win-win! I really like this product for protection from the sun. I have really fair skin and burn in an instant without sunscreen. With this product my skin does not burn and is protected. Recently I was at the beach and this product worked great. I also like that it does not have a scent so I can wear my favorite scents with it.
