Lifeproof FRē Series Waterproof Case for Samsung Galaxy s7 - Retail Packaging - Black

Update 3/21/17 As of today i have to change my review. I dropped my case 2 feet from my desk to the floor, before hitting the carpet it hit the plastic bar for my computer chair. When it hit the plastic bar the cover for the data port which was closed shot open, and with inspection is now broken. The hinge has broken for all four of the people i recommended this case to and now with mine broken as well I am calling this a massive manufacturing error. [THIS CASE MAY BE LIFE PROOF UNTIL YOU LIVE WITH IT FOR A FEW MONTHS] What should be normal wear and tear on any phone case has really been more then this case can handle. After cleaning the case with nothing but a clean microfiber cloth, the screen protector has become some what sticky and feels like a clear coat is starting to rub off. Also even though it is water proof at least once a week i have to open it and clean off my screen because moisture seems to get in there.(original order)This case is cool. It feels sturdy and is definitely water resistant. My phone came with a scratch on the screen, I think i am gonna return it for another and see if it changes the outcome. Also This case is VERY WHITE. Like uber white. The back is like a cream color. 3 starsUpdate: The second case had no smudge or scratch and is amazing. Easy to install and easy to remove Great for if you have a Gear VR but want a full body case.

We purchased this case for my husband for his new Galaxy S7. This case was recommended by my son who also has one on his phone that endured a 30 foot drop from a rooftop, landing face down. Expecting his phone to be utterly destroyed, the LifeProof case SAVED that phone, with nary a scratch!The case came as expected and on time.It's been approximately 6 weeks since the delivery of this purchase. The small protective door to the charging slot broke, causing the cover to not close securely. Today, we called LIfeProof and spoke with Matt. He was helpful and VERY pleasant. He obtained all of the information he needed, and was quick to say he was sending the replacement. My husband asked to speak with Matt's supervisor where he proceeded to explain why Matt should be getting a raise, he was that good.We HIGHLY recommend this case for some of the best protection available for your phone! We will be purchasing a new LifeProof case for my phone when I purchase it in October 2017.

This is probably the best case I've ever found for the level of protection.The case is very rugged and scratch resistant. Intermittent exposure to industrial chemicals and still holds up.I've dropped the phone on both concrete and in water (15 feet onto solid concrete, over 30 feet water). Held up solid with nothing more than a few scratches on the sides.The back peice is made of porous plastic that can be easily scratched or dirtied quickly. The white version was exceptionally hard to clean.The biggest issue is the charging access ports plastic lip that secures it. After 3 months of regular use the lip had broken off, rendering the phones water and dust rating useless. It wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't $60. I had to purchase two cases because of the lip.I highly recommend purchasing a wireless charger, continuously opening and closing the charging port will lead to the plastic lip breaking off. After using a wireless charger I haven't ran into any issues. It charges fine even with the case on.Definitely the best case I've ever used, fits my Galaxy S7 like a glove.

I read all the negative and positive reviews on the LifeProof FRE Waterproof case. Not only did I receive it I less than 2 days it works absolutely perfectly. I take really good care of my electronics items but having this case gives me the extra assurance that if I drop my phone on the ground or in water that it is protected. Some of the reviews I read said the bottom door clip is hard to open and close and it breaks after a while. Knowing this has helped as all you need to do is apply a little downward pressure on the edge of the case next to the clip and it opens and closes much easier. So far so good and this case is perfect for me. I am very careful with the use of my phone but I use it constantly all day long and have not noticed one mark on the clear screen or any other issues. The clear screen protects perfectly and as the reviews said you have to push harder around the edges since there is a small gap. Knowing this has been helpful and really only is an issue once and a while so when I need to press along the edges I know what I need to do and it has worked perfectly. Love it!!

Good quality- stands up to a lot of abuse

I've used Lifeproof cases for years and have loved them. The quality of workmanship, materials, protection, and look have been worth the premium price tag. Therefore i ignored the negative reviews and made my purchase. After just a day of use this case is just disappointing. The construction quality is nothing like the case on my S5 it is thin and flimsy feeling and does not snap tight to the device. The trapdoor for the charging port is notoriously weak and a common point of failure and its easy to see why, but as I use a wireless charger I was not worried about this and if you have this case that is probably the only way to fix the issue. What I couldn't get over and what finally caused me to give up on it and return the case was the floating screen protector. How could they not get this right. I felt like I was using an old palm pilot from 20 years ago. All screen taps on the edges required the protector to be depressed to the screen before it was registered. This often led to typos and miss clicks. This also caused the fingerprint censor to be very finicky I would have to wet my finger to get it to work after several attempts.As a boat captain a case with the stated attributes of this one are important to me but unfortunately this one is not worth the $40 bucks especially since the phone is already waterproof. I can not recommend this case... please trust the negative reviews don't waste your time and buy something else. Too bad this phone is several generations old as this means there will never be a decent case made for it from lifeproof.

My husband buys these cases. He’s a carpenter and would go through phones at a breakneck pace. Otterboxes would fill with sawdust. The photo above is his phone after 2 full years of brutal use. It’s really beaten up, but his phone is in great shape and I’d rather replace a $60 case every 2 years than an $800 phone.

Die LifeProofFré Hülle ist ihr Geld auf jedenfall wert. Wasser, Staub und Schmutz können dem Handy in der Hülle nichts anhaben. Bei Stürzen ist das Handy ebenfalls geschützt. Das Display ist unter der Hülle sehr gut zu erkennen und das erste Benutzen der Hülle war kinderleicht.
