Great light bulb. Plenty bright for the whole room.
I like this bulb. It has a moderately bright white light (but not too bright) which I think is true for all LED bulbs, so it's not the softer, yellowish light of incandescent bulbs, so it's a little bright for me, but I think the trade off is worth it for the blue light blocking effect. If you or anyone using this bulb has ADHD, anxiety, a lot of stress, any kind of nervous condition or light sensitivity, incandescent bulbs are best bec LED and fluorescent bulbs have a higher frequency which exacerbates nervous conditions. Note that all public buildings (schools, offices, hospitals) use fluorescent lights. If you have your own office and/or in your bedroom, consider using floor and desk lamps with dimmer switches and incandescent bulbs. Set the lights at the lowest brightness that's adequate for you and keep the fluorescent lights off and see if you feel calmer after a couple weeks. If you use incandescent bulbs, you can use blue light blocking glasses and screen filters. Please see my detailed reviews in the Q&A section under these two questions:Q: Is this bulb bright enough to put in a lamp and read by at night?A: My answer begins: "My 94 year old mom..." (summary: yes, my mom can easily read by using this moderately bright bulb)I also wrote a detailed answer to the question:Q: Is this bulb dimmable?A: My answer begins: "I have installed 3 of these bulbs..." (summary: After a lot of testing in the house, I found that this bulb flickers with some dimmer switches, does not flicker with other dimmer switches, so it's random, you need to buy the bulb and try it with your dimmer switches to see if it flickers or not)

Pink bulb was much better than the new yellow.
I bought this bulb (pink version) in 2017 when they were still using the pink shaded bulb. Now they have switched to yellow so I will find another brand of blue light blocking bulb.It is 2024 and the lovely pink bulb has just started to flicker. So sad they changed to yucky yellow. If they change back to pink I will buy it again. It was nice and bright for reading without keeping me awake.Thankfully, there are other brands that still use the soft pink shaded bulbs available.

600 lumens vs 275 lumens
My family owns both, baby bulb and this bulb. This 600 lumens bulb is ideal for a master bedroom nightstand. It will provide good light for reading and relaxing for falling asleep. The 275 lumens baby bulb is more suited for infant night calls or toddler sleep routines; it's bright enough to read your child a picture book. We keep it in the corner of the room rather than near the child's bed.If you're more prone to having trouble falling asleep, the tablet or smartphone would be a better place to start. Night Shift in the iPhone is truly a godsend. Long term plan, ideally, is to avoid electronics in bedrooms.

Really helps at bedtime
I absolutely believe in this product. I have been reading more and more about blue light thanks to Dave Asprey and had noticed that on the nights when I read before bed it was taking me a while to fall asleep, almost as if the reading was stimulating me rather than making me sleepy. Since using this light in my bedroom before bed I do not have that issue anymore. In fact, I notice myself getting sleepy while I am reading which is what used to happen to me when I was younger. I'm not sure if that means I am more sensitive to blue light now at 41- either way I will never go back to regular light bulbs in my bedroom again! I also got the baby version for my 6 year old and it is working as well!

Perfect night sleep for the first time in my life
I'm in my 40's and have never slept through the night until I bought this light. How I use it is I turn the light on a few hours before I want to go to sleep and go about my normal activities in that room like watching tv, reading, talking, email and I find myself falling asleep but more importantly I stay asleep all night. Sleeping through the night has changed my life! My mind doesn't run wild in the middle of the night waking me up and I don't go back and forth between the bed and couch from being restless anymore. Great invention. Thank you.

Died after about a year. LED's are supposed to last 50,000 hours. This one came nowhere close.
Bulb was for my son who needs light to sleep as he is afraid of the dark. This is supposed to not emit blue light which is why we purchased it. This was too bright, so we moved it under his desk to mask some of the light. It only lasted for a little over a year, even though it was turned off when he wasn't sleeping. For a light that is supposed to last 11+ years used 2 hours a day, I expected a lot more for the money compared to a similar LED (or even incandescent.)

Don’t waste your money - defective soon after return deadline passed
I bought this for bedtime reading. Nice soft light. It worked fine for a couple of months but after that every few minutes it had a series of very, very bright strobe-like flashes every few seconds, as in having to cover your eyes. Oddly, it didn't do that every night - some nights it didn’t do any at all. But obviously this defeats the purpose of helping you start to mellow down to go to sleep. Would have returned it but deadline has passed. I expected that this lightbulb would last years, since it cost $15.99. Have used it some since then, which is why I’m writing this review months after I bought it. Still has the strobe light effects. It’s not the lamp, which works fine with other light bulbs. Don’t waste your money.

"Does what it says on the tin."
Does what it says on the tin. Yes, I am able to fall asleep earlier. I use blue-blockers on screens (like f.lux and "nightlight" modes) and even use eye-strain-relieving reading glasses, but with full-spectrum "daylight generating" lights dominating the room I'd still have trouble being able to sleep before 2am when heading to bed after 10pm. Using this bulb bedside, I am able to get tired enough to try sleeping about 2 hours earlier than with other lights. It might seem pricey for a lightbulb, but, theoretically, getting more sleep and better sleep could add a few years to my life while enabling weight loss and stress reduction.
