Stohlquist Youth Escape PFD Life Jackets

I have a husky 4 year hold who needed a swim jacket that would hold his weight (>60 lbs). After reading the reviews, I purchased this life jacket to use as a swim jacket, and it works well, however, it is constantly riding up past his belly to his neck and chest. I'll have to get him out of the water to tug it down, which is annoying. There's a belt buckle, along with several buckles all along the sides, but it still has a tendency to ride up. Otherwise, works great and he's very comfortable swimming around in the pool.

We purchased these for our 8 year old, 50lb twins, and it worked great. Both boys are rather skinny, and so most lifejackets in this weight range have a tendency to ride-up. Not this life jacket, though. The strap below the waist helps to keep the jacket from riding up, and the wide neck means that even if it does ride up, it isn't squeezing their head and neck. The pocket is oversized and handy for storing goggles in. The material is also very durable, and I'm confident we'll be using it for several years to come.

We bought this life jacket because of the v-shaped front thinking it would not be like most life jackets that are uncomfortable to wear in and out of the water. When my son is in the water, this does not float up and push at his chin. When he is sitting down, it is not pushing on his neck and chin. We love this jacket! He can comfortably enjoy the boat and the water. Will buy again when we need a larger size.

Too large for my skinny 11 year old. It's more like a bulky boy size or skinny adult size.

I like that theres adjustment straps, theres more room to grow for my 7yr old son. This helps him to enjoy and stay longer in the water. The thread looks sturdy. Happy with the purchased, my son likes it too.

Well my daughter is 7 and about 78 lbs. she has an issue where she doesn't like things touching her neck so we needed a jacket the was more v-neck-y. Esp that stayed v-neck-y when she sat down to kayak or inner tube at camp. This totally fit the bill.

Very happy with the vest. My son is 7 yrs old and is 60lbs, we have all the straps pulled as tight as possible and it's still a tad big but not too bad. He jumped in the pool with it and was able to swim just fine with it.

Very good fit on my skinny child, not as bulky as others and allows for better movement.
