Disney's Aladdin: The Making of an Animated Film

One of the Best Art Books about Disney Classics
★★★★★ Overall ImpressionsIf you're a fan of animation, art books, Disney, or Aladdin, this book is a must-have! It not only tells the story of Aladdin's character creation but also serves as an in-depth study on the success of this masterpiece. You'll find dozens of character sketches, insights into animation and design approaches, and development details for each character, as well as fascinating information on voice actors, music writers, and even the life stories of the people behind one of Disney's greatest animated films of the 1990s. This book is absolutely worth reading and adding to your collection!★★★★★ ArtThe artwork and backgrounds are stunning. While there might not be as much art as in other books, this one focuses deeply on the story.★★★★★★ TextI give the text 6 stars—it's unbelievably captivating!★★★★★ Book DesignCompared to other Hyperion "The Art of" books, this one includes both a dust jacket and fabric cover. However, it’s smaller in size and thickness than The Art of Pocahontas or The Art of The Lion King.★★★★★ PriceAs of summer 2024, a used, very good quality copy cost me less than $9, including tax.

Funny how I thought this book was bigger when I was a child.
I love Disney's Aladdin! It's my favorite Disney trilogy and my favorite Disney Princess is Jasmine. When I was in elementary school I remember going to my school's library and flipping through this book. I didn't read it, I looked at the pictures. Therefore, it wasn't until many years later that I would buy the book and sit down and read it. lol

I’ve Been Looking For This Book Forever!
Product came on time and in perfect condition except for a little dent in one corner but that most likely happened during transit. HalfPrice Books has perfect condition books whenever I go into my local one (which is a lot) so I figured it happened on the way.I love Aladdin-watched it since I was barely old enough to remember lol and I was wondering where or if the art book was or even existed and let’s just say I’m immensely happy that I found it. The pages are filled with the process and some insightful advice from the creators behind the film. It may be small but I don’t mind and I do recommend it for lovers of the film as well.

Good but short
It’s good, but it’s a little bit short in terms of content

When they made Aladdin
I loved the movie growing up.It is very interesting to see how much work they put in to making a movie that is less than 2 hrs long. How they manage to have the characters look like the person doing the voice over, and how they organize the story. How they develop the character, from initial sketches to the end result, the qualitys that it should portrait, and how they have to work on a dead line. They even have funny remarks of interactions between the illustrators and the rest of the crew. This is not a book to give to a kid, but a older teenager or someone who is into illustration-animation, or just an older fan of the movie will enjoy it over and over again.

A little disappointed. With so little amount of pages you'd think it'd be packed with content as much as possible but it felt more like an oversized pamphlet.
