Great price point ... I've never written a product review ... but his monitor deserves one!
What is there not to like? The IPS LED screen has great color replication, Nvidia G-Sync works natively with minimal setup ... in terms of pricing ... it sits in a space where the monitor can be used for high performance productivity but also various top tier future content (streaming, gaming, etc.)

Mine wasn’t great
It was alright until I realised that small dots were popping 6 months later. They weren’t dead pixels nor were they stuck pixels, although I had a stuck pixel, but I digress. It was more like the coating not being tight or something

Buyer Beware !
This Monitor is absolutely superb in many respects and the picture quality is stunning.Regarding Customer Service and the Warranty. The very polite and helpful CS person told me that the broken Joystick on the back of the Monitor is not covered by the Warranty. This is used to navigate through the Menu and has become inoperable. So the the Monitor is set up and works but it is now impossible to alter Settings. We've checked with a Local Repair Shop and they will see if it can be replaced/repaired.We'll keep you Posted regarding this. We are very annoyed that this Fault is not covered by Dell's Warranty !Short answer ! This repair is not possible. So much for Dell's Warranty !

The most immersive gaming experience....for a hefty price!
This is arguably the best monitor I have used in the whole of my 25 years of gaming, 10 of which as a professional eSports player. The response time, the picture quality, the 34” 1800R curve. It is super immersive and is highly recommended for games such as racing and fight sims from an immersion perspective, but also found myself enjoying the likes of Destiny 2 on it as well.Colours pop, viewing angles are superb and the 2ms 120Hz g-sync support (this uses the V1 module so is a true G-sync screen) make this fantastic. However, the sheer price will be a dealbreaker for many and the lack of future proofing. Sadly, no HDMI 2.0B which is a shame, so no high frame rates on next gen consoles! Also we only see DisplayPort 1.2, which for a screen of this Calibre is enough with the 3440x1440 resolution - you’ll need at the very least a 2070 Super graphics card to push 120FPS in the latest AAA titles with high-ultra settings.Backlight bleed overall was minimal, but has a slight problem with the Bezel around the monitor - this seems very rare however.A MASSIVE selling point of this monitor is Dells warranty with it. 3 year advanced panel exchange if you do have issues - they send you a replacement monitor and you return the faulty one in the box they send!No other big manufacturer can match anything near that level of service! Well worth taking that into consideration when making such a big investment!Despite my niggles, this is still an amazing screen. Hence the full, 5-star review!

Amazing monitor but rubbish quality assurance
The monitor itself has amazing picture quality and diffuses colours across its panel in a blended fashion. It being an IPS monitor heavily helps colours to pop out further with its already amazing picture quality. The quality overall to the build and the tiny touches such as the lighting all make the product feel very premium, however thats where the good stops.Quality AssuranceYour mileage may vary but i've gotten this monitor twice. The first time it arrived with a strange orange colour shift where everything yellow seemed reddish in colour, the bottom of the screen where the alienware logo is had a weird plastic film sticking out for whatever reason. It felt refurbished or repurposed. And finally the monitor had a dead pixel towards the centre of the screen. Roughly two that were together.Fast forward to a month for my replacement. Monitor arrived again, heavy damage to the box itself. Some minor scuffs to the stand were discovered when unboxing with black marks. Could clean it off with a damp cloth fairly easily. No weird colour shift and no other visible damage and finally no weird plastic lip sticking out at the bottom of the monitor. (You wouldnt pay £999 for a monitor with something like that so i was genuinely surprised that happened) Finally i set it up and use a high quality displayport cable that i went out of my way to buy for this monitor to make sure there are no issues.Another dead pixel towards the centre of the screen again. either the quality assurance is extremely poor or the panels Dell are using are intentionally poor quality.Images will be posted of the replacement monitor ive gotten. I deleted images of the previous monitor because i thought it may be a one off issue. Im going to try one last time to see if i was just extremely unlucky. I got a refund and the monitor is now on sale for a lower price. If the 3rd monitor comes with no defects i will update the review to clarify this. Be aware there is very little information about dead pixels on the internet for this monitor and could just be my luck.Be aware the dead pixel may be difficult to see due to amazon's image compression when uploaded.

It's 2020, we should not still be having to put up with poor QC standards for £1000+ monitors.
An IPS monitor will always have a measure of IPS glow, its a fault of the technology. Anyone looking into buying an IPS monitor should always be aware of that. However, IPS glow varies considerably and their are plenty of acceptable levels of glow. Levels that you won't notice unless you really went looking for it. (I currently own 2 Acer IPS monitors that fall into that category).Dell however appear to operate on an IPS glow scale that deems anything to be acceptable. The glow could be blinding you and they would still ship the monitor as "acceptable parameters". This is a practice that is also operated by ASUS, Acer, Dell, LG etc...hence the panel lottery that still goes on today. My monitor was just such an example of this. Out of the box with no settings changed from default, there was clear bright glow in both bottom corners, in other words the corners you're most likely to notice. It ruined any image/gameplay that was dark or black heavy (Resident Evil 2 would be the example I used). If this monitor had gone through any ACTUAL quality control, this would be something that should be spotted and deemed a flaw.Monitors of this price should not be churned out on a line with no regard for its overall quality in ALL aspects. Heck, if Dell want to employ me to simply turn on a monitor and check the glow on a black screen all day, I'm in. Would take all of 5 minutes per monitor at most.Dell are not too much different from other "sullied" monitor manufacturers like ASUS, when it comes to QC. The main reason they get away with it more often is because they usually operate better customer service. In other words, they might just replace your monitor for unacceptable levels of glow, so you can have another go at the lottery.By all means, try your luck with this monitor. If you get a good random hit, then you'll be aces as it is feature rich and has a great style to it.But as consumers, paying the kind of money for a monitor that this asks for, the panel lottery should not be something we have to still deal with.Returned and refunded.

Beautiful monitor and sound build. Unfortunately damaged on delivery
First of all, I am unable to comment on the picture quality etc at this poi t as the screen was damaged on delivery. I may update my review when I receive my new monitor as I have decided to purchase a new one through curry's.The monitor is well packaged aside from the padding on the screen side only covers the edges so, from what I'm guessing has happened in this case, if anything is to impact and oenetrate the box, there is nothing stopping it from hitting the screen. It comes with a beautifully scrafted and very sturdy stand. The back of the monitor looks great. It's a shame you won't get to see it more often than when you're setting it up.It comes with the DP to DP and DP to mini DP cables so you can run max refresh out of the box. The lighting on the rear LEDs looks awesome. You can swivel, tilt, height adjust and rotate the monitor, meaning you can get a really good and comfortable viewing angle. Looks great all round and I am hoping that the image quality doesn't disappoint. Can't wait!
