KIA Genuine Factory OEM 2016 2017 2018 Optima Spare Tire Kit (Vehicles with 17" or 18" Wheels)

2018 Kia Optima EXA spare tire is one of those things that you don't want to buy because of the hope that you never have to use it. But my distrust of the fix-a-flat that dealers give you now forced my hand. I was actually referred to Amazon by the dealer shop, as they correctly predicted that I would find a cheaper price for the spare tire kit.I'm no expert, but it appears that this is the 100% exact manufacturer OEM spare tire kit. You get the tire, the jack, the jack tools, the Styrofoam casing to hold the jack, and the stuff needed to keep the tire in place. It even includes the KIA stickers to put inside your door frame with the proper inflation instruction.BEWARE: Many reviews state that the tire was inflated upon delivery. Sure, there's air in the tire and it seems fine, but a look at the instructions said to inflate the tire to 60psi. A quick check with my handy-dandy air pressure tool told me that the tire was actually inflated to a whopping 15psi! THIS IS NO FAULT OF THE SELLER! Common sense says that it will lose air after being in storage/shipping, so be sure to properly inflate your spare tire before putting it in your trunk to be ready to use.

1/3 the price of the dealer for the same product! Although for the price of a new car you shouldn’t have to buy a spare tire!

Ordered for my 2016 Kia Optima EX with 17" factory wheels. The kit included everything shown in the picture plus a foam insert for holding the jack and tools, a set of self-adhesive pads to support the spare tire and a bolt to secure the rim and tire in place. The tire arrived mounted to the rim and partially inflated; all I had to do was top it off to the recommended pressure. Took about 15 minutes to unpack and install. My local dealer had this part on backorder but this Amazon seller got the part to me quickly and at a lower price. Very pleased.

Product arrived sooner than I expected. My new spare kit came fully inflated. All parts were included and well labeled. I thought at first that the installation would be too difficult for me, a senior citizen. Turns out the instructions were easy to follow, and the whole process took about 20 minutes start to finish. I may never need a spare but I am pleased to have one for peace of mind. I saved about $100 in the process rather than purchasing the unit from my dealer.
