I think I'm lost. . .
So I bought this because my original muffler hanger on my 99 Ranger 4.0, 4x4 126" wheel base... decided to disappear somewhere on the road, it decided it had enough of me..went on to greener pastures. (Why don't manufactures just make the high temp stuff under your truck out of stainless steel so it doesn't rust out? it adds cost, but the vehicle would last a lot longer)I bought this product because Amazon said it fit. It came close... but no cake. I made it work with some really thick wire, because the bolt was a no go at all. I also straightened out one of the thick round bracket hangers to get it to fit. I also cut off one bent end with a hack saw.. & ground the tips round on both. I also used a bit of lotion to make it fit in the rubber hangers under the truck. Lotion good for cracked hands and stubborn tight spots. lol.All is well that ends well.

Fits Walker Muffler.
Got this to replace my Ranger's exhaust since it was falling apart. I also purchased the Walker muffler and it fits right into this bracket. My only gripe is there are no directions and it doesn't state which way the bracket should be facing since one side is longer than the other for some reason. On the factory exhaust brackets both hooks are the same size and there are equal distance to attach it to the hangers, so I am not sure why this one is lopsided in a way.By using this and figuring out which what it should go you either have the Walker muffler direction tilted more towards the driveshaft or more towards the frame. I chose to have it more towards the frame (is that right? I don't know honestly) but everything else bolted up fine. The bolt is super long for some reason, they could have supplied one that was half it's length and it would have looked better, but small thing.I painted this bracket black because I painted everything else high temp black to blend in and be hidden under the truck.Another small gripe is that this didn't completely fit the upper portion of the muffler and I thought it should. I thought it would completely surround and hug the muffler but the top part there are some gaps of about an inch. More than likely it got distorted during the welding process but the bottom pinches the muffler tight so I am not going to worry about it.

Does not fit the Walker muffler.
I purchased a Walker muffler off Amazon and needed a claim for it. Found this clamp and I read the ad.... and it said it will fit Walker mufflers. Unfortunately, It's to big for the Walker muffler. It doesn't fit correctly there's about 2 inches of room in between.

Would work better on a replacement muffler.
I was able to make the bracket work but only because I have a set of torches. It would probably have been fine on a replacement muffler, but I was trying to secure my OEM MUFFLER. OEM mufflers have a heat shield that adds about 2" to the cross section of the muffler.
