On a Budget? Keep Looking
I consider this hardware 5 stars, but I don’t recommend it. Let me explain myself: I’ve looked at comparable sets on Amazon that are about 50% to 70% cheaper than this one in particular. I don’t really have anything to compare it to as this is my first barn door install, but if I had to guess, I wouldn’t think there could be much of a difference. It’s a track with spacers and a couple of rollers that glide across it. Bing, bang, boom. I considered the possibility that this set may include more attachments that others did not such as the floor track, stoppers, etc. However, that isn’t the case because the cheaper sets have all that as well.My experience with installing my DIY door was hellish, but that wasn’t the hardware’s fault. I’m a DIYer who got a little cocky and thought I didn’t have to follow instructions or make a solid plan. The hardware itself did what it was supposed to do. I wasn’t crazy about the fact that the two tracks link, because I was afraid it would cause an imbalance in the slide of the door. Luckily, it won’t cause any issues if you install everything correctly. My advice to you if you’re tackling a DIY barn door: do your homework on them. Make a plan, measure out everything carefully, and take it slowly. Installing a barn door looks really easy, but trust me. If you don’t have a plan, it’ll go from “easy” to “kill me now”.To wrap things up, it’s barn door hardware. Like I said, unless you’re just Mr. or Mrs. Money Bags, there’s cheaper hardware out there that’ll do the same thing for you. Lumber and hardware together for a decent sized barn door shouldn’t really exceed $100. This set, itself, would eat up an entire barn door budget. I’d say, skip it.

Looks great, easy to install.
We decided to replace the door to our laundry room with a barn door. The room is tiny, and that door was just a nuisance, taking up way to much space and always in the way of the washer. The only issue we had was not having quite enough wall space to hang the door. The area we was a little short of the 72 inches as you will see in the photos, but with the header board it worked out just fine. All the hardware to mount the door is included, you will need to buy a handle separately if you'll be using one. The track comes in two pieces, which I was initially worried about, but it fits together nicely and it is sturdy. The instructions do recommend a header board, which is an additional cost, so keep that in mind. We needed the header board for spacing from the wall due to leaving the door casing and extra support for our heavy door. The holes in the track were spaced 16 inches apart so we were able to attach everything to the studs and have the peace of mind our door wouldn't be falling down! Our door had pre-drilled holes, so the anti-jump pads didn't work for us which was disappointing. Hopefully we won't have any issues of it jumping off the track. It's a beautiful matte black, and door opens and closes smoothly! Just take your time in the install, read all the directions, double check your measurements and you should be fine.I would definitely recommend this product and will absolutely be purchasing the National Hardware brand in the future.

Nice kit, Easy install
This is a very well made kit, and it assembles and works well!I had some openings that I wanted doors on, but no room on either side to accommodate the swing of the door, so a sliding barn door was the perfect solution. All the parts on this kit are high quality and well made. The matte black finish fits in perfectly with any industrial or farmhouse decor.Installation is easy, and not beyond the skill level of anyone with a bit of determination and some basic DIY skills and tools. Figure on a couple of hours of leisurely work. The instructions are well written, and easy to follow. This kit has a two-part rail, that is joined in the middle with a fitting to get the full length. While at first I was a little worried about this not being as 'sturdy' as the single part rails found in some kits, it works perfectly once assembled and really isn't an issue.A great way to add a touch of class and charm to any room!

Easy to install looks great in my new area
I got this so I could put a barn door in a room that doesn't have a lot of room. The door would swing wide and so I needed something to keep close to the wall and look attractive. This hardware worked great to do just the trick. The instructions and install was easy to understand and the door now looks great. Love the way it adds a bit of decor to the room.

So excited about these!
I am so excited to get two barn doors up in our house finally. First, they are heavily made in a good way and well painted. The matte black looks warm and rustic with the pinewood we used on making the door. Everything you will need is in the kit except the door. We live in a home that is only 1500sq ft. Having more room without opened doors to our closet and the bathroom in our master has been wonderful.

Sliding Barn doors are very popular
I will be remodeling my home in the next few months. I have wanted one or more sliding barn doors incorporated into my decor for years. They are now VERY popular. Finding good quality hardware that isn't designed for a barn has been a challenge.National Hardware has been making hardware for sliding barn doors for years. You can find their products at every Tractor Supply. Leave it to National Hardware to come up with a beautiful variation of their solid farm products - this 2-piece 72" barn door hanger set will look great in any home.I can't wait to see mine installed. I know it will be every bit as solid as the ones in my barn. I'll update my review when the remodel is completed.
