Don't buy this
I've been a vegan for 15 years and I'm also a vegan chef. This is one of the worst vegan products that I've ever tried. I gave it it's best shot: I mixed it with the always-great Vegenaise mayo, celery seed, onion, salt, pepper and a shot of tabasco. I even mixed in a little roasted nori to boost the fish effect. Then I put the whole mix on fresh ciabatta with sliced tomatoes. The "Toona" is completely transparent - it really has little or no flavor of it's own. For the over $5 per can you can buy a heck of a lot of TVP or other vegan protein to make your own. Or, for about the same money as one can of Toona you can buy a bag of frozen product such as Gardein's fish fillets, which are absolutely delicious and taste fairly close to the real thing. That's it. I'm not usually a complainer but I had to write this because the product is so tasteless and expensive.

Great all around meat substitute
I’m a big fan of Sophie’s frozen foods and was excited to try this. While it doesn’t taste like tuna (not that I expected it to!), it works great as a soy free and gluten free meat substitute. I used it to make “chicken salad” and it was great on a sandwich!

TOTAL CHANGE
I bought and loved this product for years. Suddenly , it has changed. the texture, look , everything is different. I called the company 2 times and left messages and e mailed twice--no response. Either I got a bad batch or they changed the formula.

Doesn’t taste like tuna.
It really doesn’t taste anything close to tuna. It is kinda tasteless. It’s not bad at all, but doesn’t make you feel like eating a canned tuna at all.

Unexpected
When first trying it I tasted it by its self it seem to be on the oily side and the flavor seemed ok. But after a tried to make a meal with I I find that it didn’t have a good flavor it’s not as versatile if making things with it as I was hoping. I think it’s more of a required taste.

Great flavor and texture
Love the flavor. It's kinda chunky, and made two big sandwiches. I will definitely buy again.

The smell when you open it.
It look taste an smelled like cat food, I could not add enough stuff to shange the flavor so I think personally it's a waste to spend that much money on 4 cans.
