I love these! Great if you're a student or commuter.
I've had the Superlux HD661 for several years now and I love them. Superlux makes really nice budget-friendly headphones and these are my favorite. They're solidly made and are perfect for tossing into your backpack when on the go (they come with a nice soft red bag to carry them in). I'm not worried about them getting jostled and breaking like other more expensive / delicate cans.SOUND: Good! The sound is excellent for the price point, comparable to what I hear from $100+ headphones that I own (Bose AE2 and Incase Sonic). Hook these up to a headphone amp (like a FiiO) and be blown away. But if you're seriously searching for audiophile-quality sound, do your homework and look elsewhere.LOOKS: Good! They're different from the ocean of Beats headphones you usually see people wearing, especially if you're on a college campus like me. They're fairly big, but certainly not ostentatious. They have a nice glossy finish and if you shop around they come in some other fun colors. I like wearing these on the commute because they fit comfortably over baseball or winter caps while still looking nice. The headphone band is fixed in place and not adjustable in the traditional sense - size / fit adjustment comes from the flexible "wings" at the top of the band. I actually like this feature since I think headphones with expandable bands (like what you see with Bose, Beats, etc.) look kinda stupid and I always have to fiddle around with them to get the right fit. Consider what your personal preferences are.COMFORT: Your Mileage May Vary. These headphones are heavier than others. The weight comes from the solid plastic material these are made from. This makes them very durable but also gives them extra weight. You will feel this as you wear them, especially with the placement of the flexible wings at the top of the band. If you're someone who is sensitive to this sort of thing, these might not be the headphones for you. I personally like the way these feel and am not at all bothered by the weight. But others might be. They have a nice closed-ear design that helps block out ambient noise and the pads become softer as you wear them.If you're looking for an affordable, nice sounding pair of headphones with a different look from the usually options, give the Superlux HD661 a try!

Great for portable, closed ear use
Audiophiles stay away. This headphone is by no means perfect, but for its price and intended use I think it performs great. Because it is closed back and $40, its frequency response and sound quality aren't amazing; that being said, for $40 it is probably the best closed back headphone you can find. Superlux does an amazing job at replicating expensive headphone designs and sounds. If you are looking for a headphone that you can listen good music or game with at home, this isn't it. Get a pair of open-back headphones for that unless you absolutely can't have people hearing what you are, they will always sound better, period. But if you're like me and are looking for a pair of headphones to bring with you when you go out, these are perfect. They passively isolate sound well, have a low impedance so you don't need to bring an amp with you wherever you go, fit the head snugly so they won't fall off when walking, are fairly comfortable (I can listen for 1-2 hours before my ears get hot and sweaty), and are affordable. I would definitely recommend these.

Nice headphones, but nothing spectacular
The "Superlux" is one of hundreds of brands, under which these headphones are sold. And they symbolize new quality era in geniuine chinese made headphones. The key secret is used speakers - these are 100% same as being used in AKG and Sony headphones (since made at same chinese factory). So, from there comes the sound quality, which costs you less, compared to the original brands. Saying literaly, Peter paid $100 for sony's headphones, and price included development of these headphones. While Paul bought superlux, he paid nothing for development, since development was funded by sony.To be short, Superlux HD661 is clone of Sony MDR-7506.Regarding the sound quality, here's what you get:1. Clear and powerfull bass, but not the boombox like effect, like with Koss porta pro, you'll get just enough of bass. But you can pump it up with EQ - headphones can do much more.2. A bit overbrighten and sharp higher mids - may be irritating for a longtime listening experience. However, saxes, trumpets and other reed/brass instrument sound totally live and give you full presence feeling. You'll definetly need some EQ punch, to correct this error.3. Very clean and transparent high frequencies, with amazing detail clarity. This is the are where these headphones really shine.4. Despite having closed design, these headphones are no way meant to heavily reduce outside noise. Even my crappy sony mdr-nc7 beats them hands down, when coming to noise cancelling. So, listening experience better to be restricted to inside areas.5. Input impedance is quite high, so your average iLemming player may have no enough juice to rock these headphones really hard. This again suggests stationary usage of these headphones. If you still want to use them with iLame devices, you'll need an external amp.6. Sadly, these headphones aren't just like koss porta pro, which you can plug in, and forgot about EQ, since they sound just right out of the box. With these superflux ones, you'll need careful EQ tweaking, to suit your needs.7. The overal construction is bulky, but comfortable enough. The cables included are of very high quality, and their thickness suggests that they can be used for towing the boats :)8. Many websites have euphoric posts about these $50 headphones sounding as $100 or even $150 headphones. They all are wrong. These headphones indeed are VERY NICE headphones, but they sound exactly for the price they cost - $50.That's all. Feel free to ask more if interested.

Uncomfortable, stopped working on the right side.
Good sound overall, before it stopped working. They're very tight on the head; I would have hoped it would loosen up more over time, but I'm not optimistic given the sturdy metal frames. The head rest simply isn't a good design, with only the ends of the two "arms" supporting the top of the head. A "sling" type would be much better. This is all irrelevant because the right side just stopped working after ten days. I don't know whether to bother going for a return or just throw it out, this is just irritating. The crummy $20 headphones I got four years ago work just fine.

Sony MDR-V6s on a budget
Want a pair of Sony MDR-V6 but on a budget? Then these are the headphones for you! The soundscape is incredibly similar with a very balanced neutral tone. Although I have heard some say the treble is a little harsh I myself had no major problems playing Hard Rock and Heavy Metal through these, cutting back on the 4k frequency did take out a lot of the edginess in the sound but your mileage my vary. I did notice the sound also become softer after I broke them in over a short period, if you do buy a set of these I recommended leaving your audio playing through it whilst you are away at work for a few days which'll speed up the process. So we have a pair of headphones with some quality drivers in them for a fraction of the price of equivalent sound quality models, there's got to be a catch right? Sadly yes, the build quality isn't particularly "premium" and they are quite uncomfortable to wear over long periods as they have very significant clamping on all but the smallest of heads. I did buy some velour pads (that were originally for the DT770 so any pads for that will fit this) to replace the "pleather" ones that came in the box which made them slightly more comfortable but the clamping is still noticeable and it can make the tops of my ears sore.I originally gave this product a 4 star review as there are notable cons but then I thought about it and figured that, for the price, these legitimately have to be one of the best value headphones on the market right now for the sound quality, so to begrudge it for its poor build quality would be expecting too much of it. Highly Recommended

Sonido increíble aunque algo incomodos
Hola.
