GREAT First Impression
I am replacing a pair of Red Wings that did their job and then some over the last decade. I just couldn't stomach the replacement price. I wore these boots for only the third time for 14+ hours straight and they were terribly comfortable! ZERO break in time. The lining is warm, more than I am used to compared to just leather, but it adds to the comfort and I assume is part of the waterproofing. The lace-to-toe seems to be a great idea too, as you can really cinch them down to nearly the end of the boot. Makes them a little less clumsy. They look very sturdy and if they continue to perform this way for the relative long haul, and hold up for 3-5 years, I will continue to be very pleased with this purchase.

Great boot I like them better then boots that cost twice as much
This is my 2nd set of these and I hope I can keep buying them when these ware out. First pair lasted me nearly 10 years of mostly daily wear climbing communication towers. They wore out and I cased my tail looking for a new set. Had a set of thorogood that only lasted 6 months, bought a pair of redwings and even after being fitted by red wing never fit right and seems to ware the sole quickly so I sold them. Then bought these again along side a pair of $440 danner boots. Tried them Both on and by far these kept my foot more secure. The Danners felt like the belong in a coffee shop on the feet of a fake lumber jack pretending to know what manual labor is.

sizing info
This is a great boot. You want comfort for your feet and tractors to work in for your feet, these are it. I have owned this style of boot for 5 yrs now. Just bought another pair to replace the old ones......shot..but lasted up to 5 yrs of hard work on the ranch and everything that goes with it. HOWEVER...Chippewa has changed their sizing....and hasn't bothered to tell anyone. The new ones are a not quit a 1/2 size too big.....And Amazon should let everyone know about this. I kept the new ones because I needed them now, not the long drawn out exchange deal......I checked and looked to see if this was the case before buying, but couldn't find anything on this issue, even asked and know one knew. So these boots and Chippewa are great, anyway (even though now made in China, ugh), But please let people know to buy a 1/2 size down.........My feet are happy campers....and they're protected like iron. They look good, they feel good and thats what matters not to mention the craftmanship.thanks

Nice boots
Went with these over Red Wings because I like the lace to toe adjustability. Sizing seems right. Tennis shoe size for me is 9.5-10. These are 9.5 wide and allow me to wear wool socks and have a snug yet comfortable fit. Very pleased.

PAINFULL AS HELL!!!!!!
I bought these boots because iv heard so much about them.Well the break in period was 40 days and it was more than painfull and they ended up smelling like cat piss.I am being 100 honest. Iv went back to timberland and love them. The room they sit in still stinks and it drives my dogs crazy.I don't no if it's the chippatex liner or what.Iv never had a boot be so uncomfortable or stink like this, hek I'm too ashamed to even try and sell them.Buy um and find out.$268.00 down the drain.Maybe the logger style heal is not for me but the odor hell.Hek man its just terrible and my feet don't stink after 2 years everyday in timberlands. If they hadn't been on back order I'd a never ordered these.1 star cause I couldn't go lower

Husbands go to boot
My husband has bought the Chippewa boot for years. He previously purchased the 8.5 EE, but we haven't be able to find that size in quite some time, so we found these on Amazon and got them in 9W, which worked perfectly for him. He said they were comfortable from the beginning and didn't take a lot to break in. This is his second pair or the 9. He is a mill worker on his feet all day. These lasted 1.5 years.

Work Boot
This is a very well made boot, a bit pricey but my last pair lasted for several years. I am retired so they don't get the same wear & tear. I hate the lining in all the boots on the market today because it wears out & tears apart long before the boot is worn out. I returned this boot as it was to narrow for a "wide" width.

Great wearing boots!
I received these in bay apache and they are great.the fit is perfect and the workmanship is great no problem with them not being built in the states. Also comfortable right out of the box . Been wearing for 6hrs first day and haven't taken them off yet 2nd day . I'm a boot guy and I don't cut logs but I ride and these are great for that. Also planning on wearing to my job . We will see how that goes I don't have any reservations about it tho. I can tell you that I was so happy with these that I purchased a second pair in redwood. Love these Chipps
