MSR Tent-tarps msr Thru Hiker mesh House Person shelter Tent

Actually weighs less than what MSR states. Out of the box it weighed in at 1 pound, 2.1 ounces. I paired it with the MSR Through Hiker 100 Wing over the 70 Wing. Why not? I wrote a small review on that also. It weighed in at 17.1 ounces out of the box.The solid rear wall was the reason I purchased this over some less expensive mesh tents, even though there is an exact tent like this one that is much cheaper but is a two person mesh tent. It also weighs more than this three person Mesh Tent. I backpack and switch out between hammock systems (Hummingbird Hammocks) and a Tarptent Contrail. I wanted lightweight, much more room and a crazy amount of options. This is why i chose the Mesh 3 and Wing 100.Use a footprint. By polycro. It weighs in at 2.5 ounces for this size. Do not use duct tape on the polycro. Adds a significant amount of weight. Use clear packing tape if you need to.

Actually the product itself should get a 5 star rating but it's just a bit expensive. when you think about it it's just mosquito netting and some material , can't understand why they want so much money for it

Great light weight tent for the money

Positives: Build quality is high, zipper runs smoothly, easy to pack and light. Reinforcement ribbon along the long axis allows it to be set up taut, and solid rear wall is nice for putting towards wind/water.Cons: Pricey for a mesh inner, and 15D floor is thin! Consider using a polypro groundsheet to boost longevity.
