THE Best belt out there!
February 5, 2015 is when I purchased this belt. I have worn it at least six days a week since I bought it. And the buckle shows absolutely no signs of giving out whatsoever. The webbing is finally starting to show a little wear and tear but no signs of ever failing. I hope Spec opts teafs my review and realizes they build a belt that can go the distance other belts will never hold up as well as their belt is doing. When you do purchase this belt and it may get too long, I cut mine at the same angles the company originally did because it goes through the belt loops so easy. After you make the two angled cuts, I took my old welding visegrips with the wide flat edges to either a propane torch or over a gas stove to heat them up then clamp down the ends so you can get a good melt so the end doesn't fray and making it even easier for you to run this belt through the belt loops. Just using a match or even trying to use a torch to melt the end will end up a mess. The pliers made it easy and a clean melting job. I've recently lost a few pounds and getting ready to cut it shorter and do this heating up the pliers trick again. Thank you Spec opts for making a belt that goes far and beyond that of any belt out there.

Garbage belt
The quality of this belt is far below what I expected from this brand. It is in no way better than the belt that comes with some pairs of propper pants except for the buckle. There is no rigidity whatsoever. I am not looking for a gun belt, but for the price I expected a superior belt to a five dollar web belt. I have a better bdu belt in the 1.75 model that I have worn daily for 8 years and it is still stiff without any fraying or loose stitches. It is a superior belt and holds its shape when held up. This has the rigidity of a wet noodle. I am very disappointed with this item, hopefully spec ops has not become a has-been brand and this is just the one that got through the cracks.

Its all about the BUCKLE!I have bought others with strong webbing and similar buckles, but THIS ONE is the only one whose buckle stays put, even when you are adjusting it. When you lift the little tab up just slightly after moving the webbing in or out, it HOLDS whatever position you set till you pull it taught. This is the only fabric/webbed belt with nylon buckle that works exactly like it is supposed to and for a very reasonable price. Webbing is super-strong, and the only downside for some might be that it can collapse vertically with a heavy load on it.If you carry a lot of heavy items, you probably need a specially reinforced belt anyway. That being said, I do carry a holstered firearm on this belt often enough and it holds perfectly fine. Best of all, as I said at the beginning, the buckle not only holds the webbing snugly in place during adjustments, it also keeps the belt from loosening over time like some others I have used and since given away (apologies to those who may have gotten them from the Salvation Army!). For around twenty bucks, you won't find a "better bdu" than this!

Everything Has To Work Together Perfectly For Effective Concealed Carry
I needed a BDU belt that would effectively fit my cargo shorts and hold up my IWB holster while carrying a Springfield .45 Mod 2. After researching various belts it became obvious that I needed a 1.5" wide belt to fit my belt loops, it had to be flexible enough to be comfortable around my surgically repaired abdomen, and it had to be strong enough to hold my Mod 2 in the right position for an effective draw. Since Florida is a concealed carry state, although they are currently considering open carry, my rig has to avoid printing so that it doesn't point out that I have a CCW in my possession. No sense in attracting unwanted attention from the public and law enforcement.Over the years I have slowly moved up from carrying a NAA .22 magnum to a Kahr 9mm. The NAA .22 magnum is easily carried in any pocket with no printing issues. Stepping up to the Kahr 9mm was as easy as using a Sticky Holster inside my right front pocket. But carrying a far heavier and bulkier .45 took a little planning and trial and error. The clothing and belt have to be right, the carry position simple to access, and the weapon has to be concealed from public view.I have the correct combination now thanks to this Spec-Ops BDU belt. It fits my regular belt loops, fastens securely around my waist, holds the weapon and holster in the proper position, is very comfortable, and instills the confidence needed when carrying a heavier weapon. I highly recommend this belt as a cost effective solution to carrying bulkier weapons. As another interesting observation, each belt comes with a one page instruction sheet with illustrations. I have received many different products where an instruction manual/sheet would be very useful, and of course didn't get one. Spec-Ops wants to make sure that you get to use all the benefits of these belts. Smart!Note: I like this belt so much that I now have it in three colors. Made in America no less!

Fat Man Approved!
The Spec-Ops Brand Better BDU belt is the simplest belt I've ever owned. I've had leather belts, webbing belts, and everything in between, but all of them either failed in under a year, would bend and twist in the belt loops, chew up my belly, or all the above. Weighing in at around 340 pounds, it's difficult to find a comfortable belt that will also carry EDC items like my Zippo, Leatherman, and optionally, my Ontario Utilitac II without some or all the above issues. I'm happy to say the Better BDU belt does not bend, twist, mangle my belly, or show any sign of impending failure. It's comfortable, dirt simple to put on, cinch up, or remove, and is by far the best belt I've ever owned. I've even called Spec-Ops and spoken with a representative, and those people will bend over backward to help their customers. On another note, all Spec-Ops products have a lifetime warranty. As long as the failure isn't the result of an attempted modification, they'll fix or replace their products even fifty years down the line! I gotta say, they've just earned a customer for life.
