I’m a white woman in my 30’s with long baby fine hair, and a natural hair color of the lightest brown and I’ve been dying my hair midnight black with this product for the past decade and it works out well each time. I get the semi permanent just so it won’t damage my hair even more than it is. I might even try a different color at some point for a new look. It comes with everything you need in the box for one time use:1 pair of disposable gloves (which are huge on my hands so I just wear my own), a tube of color cream, a bottle of color activator (for mixing the 2 together), a tube of color treat conditioner, and instructions. I let the dye stay on my roots for about an hr just cause my natural hair color is light brown. There is enough of the color treat conditioner left in the tube so that you can use it for a few hair washings to help keep the color from coming out.*FYI: if you tend to sweat sometimes while sleeping in a hot or warm climate make sure you wear a cap or have something over your pillow to protect it, When you sweat the hair color tends to come out and will stain fabric.

I have tried a few but seem to have an itching scalp reactions to most except for this one.It covers my greys for about a month to a month and an half ( my hair grows fast),and is gentle on my scalp.

This hair dye is not harsh on the hair. I like that it dyes the hair with a lasting look. The directions are simple and it's easy to apply. The scent is hard to describe, not unpleasant just different. However it doesn't last long, typically just a day and the scent goes away. The dye itself probably lasts me about 1 1/2 to 2 months, depending on how aggressive my gray desires to be. It's a good product, and I find it healthy for my hair.

I am an African American 57-year-old woman. I had a head full of healthy long soft curly hair. My "go-to" style was a wash-and-go. I used this product twice. The color was fine. The first time I used it, I noticed a little change in my hair, my wash-and-go didn't curl all over. I blamed the shampoo or conditioner. I didn't put 2 and 2 together. After the second use, the change was obvious!!! My hair looked (and still looks 6 weeks later) like it's been permed. It is straight and the natural curls are gone. Even when wet, it does not curl. My edges are fried and look/feel like burnt grass. I went to 3 different stylists. They all said the same thing, this product has more damaging stronger chemicals in it than what is noted in the product description. They could smell the chemicals. I will have to wait until the product grows out, like when I transitioned from a perm over 10 years ago. This took around a year. I need to go to the salon every few weeks for deep conditioning treatments, etc. This is very upsetting. Using a picture of an African American female with natural hair on the box is a trap. I don't know who this product is made for, but it is not for us! I wish I had never used this product. I can only hope my hair grows back in normal. I hope this saves someone from making the same mistake.
