There are few items you probably shouldn’t buy on line. Office chairs and shoes would certainly be on my list. As luck would have it, after trolling Amazon through the plethora of chairs and the hundreds of ranting reviews, some with their up-side-down-photos, confusion and uncertainty overwhelmed me. I found myself fighting an uncontrollable urge to actually get out of the house and go shopping for the elusive office chair I craved... Staple’s for god-sake is a mere five minute drive from the house. But what if Amazon found out I wasn’t going to “one-click-order?” Would an Amazon Drone soon be lurking over-head, gunning for me? They certainly know where I live and with help from Google, I would be a sitting duck! I would tell the Amazon police I found the item at their site but was forced by my wife to refrain from “one-click-ordering,” break free from the Amazon-strangle-hold and go forth to Staple’s and “shop” for my chair!So that’s what I did! I picked three chairs on Amazon, searched Staple’s, they had two of them, I headed out, road-trip! It was awe inspiring I tell you! You can actually talk to people on the outside and they respond! Who knew!Then…there it was, the “chair,” I could touch it, smell it, feel it and, yes….Oh yes….sit-in-it….ahhh, utopia! This is the one, gotta-have-it! This baby’s going home! The nice sales person even loaded it in my Rav4! Top that Amazon!The chair is great, worth every star. out of the box, a good quality seat and back-rest. All metal attachments are heavy duty and should give good service over time, IMHO. At the time, I didn't think much about the arm-rest folding out of the way but after using the chair its become very covenant and a definite attribute to consider when looking at office chairs. I did not realize how "in-the-way" the arm rests could be till I was able to get them out of my way! Really a good value and I would not hesitate to purchase again.One reviewer mentioned his chair started coming apart after four years, really? Several reviewers said they had trouble with assembly. One even said it took a couple days? It was mostly about screw-holes not lining up for the arms? At 68; I’ve never missed a screw-hole and these where no exception. I had no issues...BAM...done in thirty minutes! Just me, I didn’t need an army of extra hands or a trip to the “orange-home-improvement-center” for that missing screw! The included Allen-Wrench is all the tools you'll need. However; I so happen to have an Allen-T-handle wrench set I use for my bicycle maintenance, was much easier on my old arthritic hands and fingers. A 5mm metric to be exact. I put all screws in lose, then a staggered-order tighten down once I had the chair together. Just no problems what-so-ever, the chair is straight, solid, tight and very comfy. Hardware pack is arranged and labeled in a step by step sequence. You just cant mess up. This is my second one of these chairs. My first one lasted about 12 or so years of constant use. These are built tough and have plenty of room to shift around while also supporting body contours. Cushioning is really nice too and lasted forever. When this current one wears out, I'll probably get another one. I use this for both work and gaming and it's great for long hauls doing either.I highly recommend it.

This is the 2nd time that I am buying this chair. After searching high and low for a new office chair, I settled with buying the same office chair. The prior chair lasted me over 6 years with heavy use. I am 6' Tall and currently, over 300 lbs, and the chair is able to hold my weight without issue and is comfortable.Overall dimensions: 44.9 - 49.2 "H x 29.1 "W x 30.9 "D. Seat dimensions: 21.5"W x 18.5"D. Back dimensions: 20.5"W.Recommendations for assembly have two people to help position the arms and cushion pieces together. If you are assembling yourself follow the standard instructions. When installing the arms place the chair on the ground on its side and secure the arms loosely first on one of the premade holes and install the 2nd screw on the other cushion piece. Do not tighten until all the screws are in first.

Tough chair - good value

I purchased this chair because I was replacing this chair and wanted the same thing. My old chair had lasted me years and the material was flaking everywhere. Sit down once, and spend the day picking pieces of the material off of my arms, shirt, pants, etc. all day. So, I wanted something that would last me another bunch of years. Well, I am disappointed. The arm is already loose, and it is a prefab piece, so there is nothing I can tighten. It is a shame. I really liked that old chair and this new one is just not made well. The box is big and once the chair is together it is not worth the hassle to take apart and send back.

It's a pain to put it together due to poor manufacturing - very imprecise holes, etc.The entire thing is plastic; fairly sturdy, but nonetheless not ideal - however it's a "you get what you pay for" situation.There's simply no way the cantilevered arms are going to survive for a long time; you really have to be mindful not to push yourself up with them.I find that it's a bit "slippery" for the way I sit. I tend to slide down a bit over time. This is not unexpected given the leather, though. (And fwiw, "bonded leather" is to leather what particle board is to lumber)I also noticed that right from the start there is a tilt in the seat, like when you rotate it will clunk to the side a bit at a certain point. And I'm not a large person or anything, it's just not good.Overall it's pretty cheap. Go with something that has supported arm rests. Honestly, just spend an extra couple hundred and get something nice, because by the time it wears out you'll have gone through multiple of these.

Home office, sat in many chairs at staples a d loved this one. Found cheaper here on Amazon. Love the sleek look and good for an 8 hour workday

I love this chair, you can move the arms up and away so you don't have to worry if it will fit under your desk.
