Shark Ultimate 1800W Self Cleaning Iron 9in Plate GI505 (Renewed)

I've needed a new iron for awhile & did a lot of research to find one with high ratings at an affordable price. I came across this iron, which had good ratings in all the important categories. I was a little hesitant to buy one that's been factory-refurbished, but I went ahead.I haven't been disappointed at all!! This iron is almost perfect! It steams really well, which is a huge for me, & I really like that it has a little weight to it. And the water reservoir is on the bigger side so I don't have to stop every 20 minutes to refill it.My only complaint is that the iron doesn't have a retractable cord & there's nothing to wrap the cord around. If they weren't going to make it retractable, they at least could've put a little Velcro cord wrap on it.Bottom line, this is a great iron for the price & ive remedied my only complaint by making my own Velcro cord wrap!

It's been working great but 4 the past month it's been leaking a little water through the steam values, not much just a little b 4 it get hot

This is a piece of refurbished trash and one of the biggest let down of a product I have ever purchased on Amazon. Not only has it continually leaked on my clothes (ruining some garments) while ironing. It now just shuts off randomly or doesn’t turn on at all unless I shake it. I came on fully expecting I would have a year warranty and I do not. Save your money and avoid this seller and product.

I have been a faithful SharkNinja iron user since 2002 when I bought my very first one, and have never been disappointed. This is my 5th Shark Ninja iron in 16 years (they tend to last about 3 yrs or so in my home for a family of 4) and I am very very happy with it. It has a bigger plate than previous models and I love that the steam works perfectly, with no staining or trouble.

Overall, the iron feels clunky. Hard to use smoothly. Also, the steaming feature, which is operated by a 2.5 inch dial, seems loose and only works if you set it multiple times. I would not recommend this product. Probably should give it a rating of "2". But I am allowing for the possibility I have a lemon.

This iron is large, heavy, and unwieldy. It is near impossible to get into tighter spots or do any precision ironing. Because it is so large, it will iron places you don't want it to, leaving wrinkles. For instance, ironing the shoulder of a shirt it will create wrinkles on the front panel of the shirt because you cannot isolate where you iron due to its size. Because it is so heavy, it pulls as you draw it across the fabric, leaving ironed-in wrinkles. It takes a long time to heat up, and then loses steam after only one shirt. It just randomly loses steam for no reason. The only thing it would be good at ironing are things like tablecloths or large flat surfaces, not shirts, which is what I predominantly iron. This iron makes an undesirable chore even more frustrating. The only reason I've kept it is because I threw away the box it came in.

Never again will I buy a refurbished iorn. I recieved it in poor condition and full of calcium that was all over it before I even took it out of the bag and the iorn plate had rust an was scratched all over. Tried cleaning it but no use calcium kept coming out of it and on my clothes . Very disappointed no quality control whatsoever.

When it works it's great. Got one for my dad but his broke. Had mine for a while, but am starting to have some issues with it.
