It's OK but not as good as the PilotMouse it replaced
In a weird mix up at the factory, the box shipped to me by Amazon actually contained the large size of this mouse not the "mid size" I ordered (and which was printed on the box). I gave it a go anyway and trying to use it actually gave me cramps in my hand. The thing was so big that my hand rested ON the mouse and at quite a steep angle. Not good. I returned the large mouse and bought the mid size locally and was surprised by how small it was compared to the large size. I'd say the mid size should have been called the small size. The mouse fits IN my hand, but is comfortable to use. The rubber like material used on the left where your thumb rests is especially nice. It's accurate and works fine in Windows and even behaves nicely inside X-Win32 which saved me from any re-configuration.Overall, it's an OK mouse but I have 3 gripes:1. It's just a tad too small.2. The cable just won't lose its kinks from having been folded for storage and shipping. I have one of those special holes in my desk for computer cables. One of the kinks in the cable keeps catching on the edge of the hole which means I have to tug the mouse slightly when moving it. After a while it gets annoying. I've tried straightening the cable but it's just not having it. Grrrr!3. The plastic molding on the left towards the back of the mouse where the left side joins the main body is not aligned properly, so it feels rough. I catch it with my palm every now and then which again is a little annoying.I needed something to replace my old Kensington PilotMouse Optical which had seen better days after 7 years of loyal service. I still say that's a better mouse even though it's not ergonomic like this one. The old PilotMouse was just more comfortable to use, was better made and was the perfect size. I trusted Kensington had made another great product that I'd love just as much. They haven't. I would strongly advise checking out mice at your local computer store to see which one is right for you and your hand. I wish I'd done that because if I had, I would not have ended up with this one for sure.Happy pointing and clicking.

OK, but extra buttons don't work for Mac
I bought this to have a wired mouse on hand since my Logitech wireless was getting a little glitchy. It is alright, but ultimately a bit disappointing. Since I'm on a Mac, the extra buttons do not automatically work (right click and scroll works fine). I tried downloading "USB Overdrive" that I read about here, but it seems to no longer be supported as an add-on. I hope to eventually find something that will help me activate these buttons....it seems simple enough.A few other things to note:- I initially had issues with the mouse not responding at all on each startup. I had to re-plug it in to the USB drive each time. But, a simple move to another USB drive and now it works fine - not sure why.- The pointer moves a little too quick; one would think I could adjust this, but in System Preferences, it's already on one click before the slowest and is still very zippy. But, if I choose the slowest, it is a little too slow. No perfect middle ground can be achieved (this might just be me though). ***EDIT: I haved noticed that when I click the middle button, it seems to make adjustments to the pointer speed, but without changing it in the actual preferences. It's kind of a blind adjustment. A little odd, but I think I have been able to find a better middle ground with the mouse speed.- It is light and a bit small, but that doesn't bother me because I have lady hands.- The click is a little louder and higher pitched (if that makes sense) than my Logitech. It has a "cheaper" quality about it to me, but I'm getting used to it.- Sometimes I accidentally click just from having my hand resting on the mouse (the thing clicks a little too easy). For the price, I'm not overly upset about my purchase. At least it works fairly well. But, it is a bit of a disappointment with the waste of buttons especially. Hopefully I can find a fix for that eventually.

Very good purchase
I did not want a wired mouse but this has made a big improvement in my day. Great mouse, comfortable and works well. Medium size and feels to be quality and sturdy but not bulky.

I give UP!
I just sent back the large one a this an got this. way too small.waaaaaaay too small. and the L an R buttons are waaaay to soft an easy to click. Somewhere between this an the large would be just right. this is like a laptop mini mouse, cmon!. and the large is like a half a watermelon- cant get your hand on it.<long sigh> cant find a mouse fits me.alls ya gotta do is re-make a copy of the ol logi mx518, I guarantee you will sell a million of them, people still look for that an theyre selling them used online for 70-89 dollars! USED!.Manufacturers think they have to make a laser light show mouse with a zillion colors that change for I guess, the younger ex-rave, dragonball Z crowd. NOOO ergonomics, just a zillion different adjustable! colors light show...duhh, that you cover with your hand?. duuhh, an STOOO-OOPID.Are you staring at your mouse while youre not using it to watch it pulse thru the different colors you set? LMAO, wth, doooo-fus's!.Someone pls make SOMEthing resembling the curvature of the hand, with two finger rests on the right side, and two L side buttons, that's all, an I DGAF if it has ANY lights, that's not whats important.seems Ive tried everything here, expensive to cheap. This has the right design shape, love the wheel-perfect, noticeable notch, great for gaming, two buttons L side- check, and two finger rests on the right side- check, BUUUTTTT..large is TOO large, and Medium is too small. almooost Kensington..almost, you were thiiiisssss close.but not.I give up here, this one goes back too.im going to a store where I can touch them, try them.

Good but gone bad
I have small hands as I am a 4"11 girl, so I needed a new mouse that my hand would fit on comfortably without giving me cramps after a while. This mouse is fast and comfortable. I received within two working days of ordering (Ordered Thursday, received Monday) and it seems to work well so far. The only thing I've noticed that is bad is the scroll wheel has a few white marks on the rubber, but I can't see them from the angle I sit at so it doesn't make a difference to me.Edit 1: My hand starts to hurt if I use the mouse for too long, and my fingers start to lock up. It is much better than having a larger mouse though, and my boyfriend doesn't complain about the size of it any more. However, I have noticed in the last week or so that the scroll wheel starts to stick when you press it. I don't know if it's just me as two of my previous three mice all broke on the scroll wheel..Edit 2: The scroll wheel is already squeaking as well as sticking, and I have only had the product for three months.Edit 3 24/04/15:The mouse seems to be fine now, as expected for a mouse over two years old it'll have the odd mishap, or it could be my arms twitching and throwing the mouse around (highest sensitivity). Just ordered another one for work.

product smaller than you think
beware when looking into the size of this mouse, i assumed looking at the dimensions provided by amazon that it would be an average mouse size. it is not, it is tiny! Tiny at least compared to my average man-sized hands. I have returned it to amazon to exchange it for the next size up. but if you were to look at the dimensions you would assume the longest length 15.7 cm would be the longitudinal of the mouse it is not. The mouse did seem of good quality construction but I cant offer any more advice other than please be careful getting the right size.
