Tech Armor HD Clear Film Screen Protector Designed for Apple iPad Air 9.7 Inch 2017-2 Pack

I've always gone with matte screen protectors before to "hide" the fingerprints that invariably show up on clear protectors. The downside to this is the "finger-print proof" matte finish always distorts the screen slightly. Having just bought a new iPhone, I decided to go with clear this time to get a better image and I'm very happy with the results. Fingerprints do show up more readily, but with the protector in place, it's simple enough to wipe them off with a cloth, paper towel, my jeans, whatever is handy, and I'm not too concerned with scratches. That's what it's there for after all. And the image is crystal clear.The package comes with 3 protectors (for multiple phones, or in case you screw one up) and a cleaning cloth and dust-removal tape. These last 2 items are very important for a clean install. As for installation, I've installed my share of screen protectors on my own previous phones, and usually my family's phones, so I've had some practice.Here's my process for a successful, bubble-free install.Before starting, wash your hands with soap and water to remove any oil, and turn off any fans in the room to minimize air-born dust. Use the cloth to clean off any fingerprints and as much dust/lint as possible from the screen. Use a bright light source to check for any visible dust and use the dust-removal tape (or clear scotch tape works as well) to pick up any dust you still see. The protectors come sandwiched between 2 pieces of film to keep dust off of the adhesive side before install. Peel back part of the first side of the protector and start the install from one end of the phone. As you press down, gently squeeze out any bubbles that appear. There may still be small dust particles that you can't see, but will show up as a bubble that won't move. Peel back the protector slightly and use the tape again to remove the dust before moving on. When finished, just peel off the top film and you're set. It takes a bit of patience, but I finished the install in just a few minutes and no bubbles underneath.

I have been using this for seven (7) months on an iPhone 5S with an Otterbox Commuter Series Case. The case does provide protection from setting the phone on a flat surface screed-side down, however keys and other objects have not overly scratched or overly worn the surface. The protector does have some wear, but that’s what they’re for – take a beating to protect the glass they are protecting. This protector is still in great shape and I’m really happy with the purchase.The screen is glossy, crystal clear, and it does not limit typing, swiping, or other functions on the phone. The protector fits the phone well with some minor gaps around the side. These gaps are not noticeable for those with cases that wrap around onto the face of the phone.The protector is installed like all other protectors, and if you go slowly and follow the directions, you will have good results. I did get a piece of lint under the protector, and I used a piece of “invisible” tape to remove it. This left no defects on the screen protector’s adhesive and the protector was installed perfectly. Take your time and it’ll be great. The package came with everything I needed, including tools to install the protector (see photos).The item was received earlier than expected and I’ve had no issues with the product or the seller.

When it comes to screen protectors, I like mine to fit the phone perfectly and take away little to nothing from the phones feel and display. This screen protector is very clear, when its clean. I say that because it is very smudge prone. It does clean very easily though, I use a little microfiber towel, my shirt or pant leg often do the job well. I did notice the protector is about half a millimeter short on each side of the phone, it's not a big deal, but some times dust or pocket lint gets caught on the edges.Here are my experiences installing the screen protector.I installed it the bathroom, with the exhaust fan on and the hot water in the shower turned on so dust doesn't float around due to the humidity. The first one I installed was almost flawless, the button and speaker were lined up perfectly, but the front camera cut out was a little off centered, I'm not sure if its the cut out or my mistake. Either way it wasn't enough of a nuisance to reapply it. After a while I had to get my phone replaced, luckily they give 3 screen protectors in each packet. The second one installed pretty smooth, until it was time to peel off the outer protective later, when I peeled the tab, it lifted the screen protector off the phone then it flapped back down onto my hand, picking up little flakes and small hairs. I was disappointed but it was mostly my fault, so I moved on to the third one. I made sure to be cautious of the last step so I wouldn't make the same mistake again and the installation went smooth. My only problem with this one is that a tiny area on the edge of the front camera cut out is not adhering properly no matter how hard I push down on if.. It is very tiny and I doubt anything will happen to it but I fear the possibility of dust/lint getting under there.I LOVE the microfiber cloth they supply, most of the ones from SGP I've received always left dust on the phone, this one does not. It picks up EVERYTHING.All in all this is a fantastic product with a fantastic price. I wish my installation went a little smoother and I wish I didn't notice the little area around the edge of the front camera but its not stopping me from loving this product!
