I use this 0.047 safety wire to make hose clamps with my CLT05 Clamptite tool. It works fine but is a bit too stiff when used to create small diameter clamps.I've been using it for over a year. It is stainless steel wire so no rust issues have occurred on my DiY clamps.Pros: A very good value for the $15.09 I paid in June 2020Cons: None.

The .041,050 diameter SS wire is very strong, mandible, and non corrosive resists rust. Withstand high heat, and does not promote electrolyze when used on or with dissimilar metals, i.e. aluminum, steel, iron, copper. Have used this brand of SS wire in Aircraft maintenance on turbine engines critical fittings and attachments for 38 years.
