Customer service was great, they actually sent me two more cables
I purchased this item in September, 2016. The transmitter and receiver both work quite well, but they do go through batteries, which is why I bought rechargeable 9 volts. However, the transmitter cable is awful. The first one I received stopped working after a week. Customer service was great, they actually sent me two more cables, one as a spare. Unfortunately, they were the same cable. I have gone through both of them. Same issue....they don't last, they just stop working. There was no strain on the cables at all, either. So, I built my own. A male-male 3.5mm cable with a 3.5mm to 1/4" adapter for the guitar. This works absolutely perfectly, and is far more durable than the cables that were included.I would recommend this item, but be prepared to utilize your own cabling. 3 stars, because of the cables.Update: Customer Service, again, has been stellar. They are aware of the cable problem and are in the process of designing new cables for this system. In the meantime, my little hack above has worked fine. I have upped the review to 4 stars. It may go up as well, depending on the final resolution of my cable problem. But, I cannot say enough about their customer service. That is how CS should be run.Another update:They have provided other services for me as well, and I have nothing but great things to say about Customer Service again, and, specifically, Joe Ellis, the Customer Relations Manager. 5 stars.

I was skeptical at first, but for the price, I had to try. (Wanted one for an announcement mic for people to use during gigs of a small, local band that I'm in.) Tried them out at home first and the sound quality was great, although I did have to turn up the volume on the PA a little more. I was originally concerned about the receiver running off of one channel on the PA ... you can only have 1 EQ setting for both mics. But, was very happy to find that both mics sounded, by my untrained ears, exactly the same. When we used them out the first time, they worked great walking around during sound check. However, during the gig, if someone came up to use one of the mics, there were significant cut-outs happening. I had a feeling it was due to the placement of the receiver which was kind of behind us off to one side. (With the short cable provided, it had to be right next to the PA - we run our own sound.). For our next several gigs, I used a longer 1/4 in cable and placed it more in front, still off to one side. Haven't had any more issues. (So apparently, the band itself was causing the interference the first time.) Overall, I am very pleased with this product so far.** Update (05/06/18) - After 5 months, I'm still happy with them. :)

Had potential, but was poorly constructed and had a defective radio.
I wanted to like this product because it's headphone (3.5mm) input was ideal for my application (I could plug it directly into my iPod). However upon arrival I tested and found the range to be mere inches, I would have to hold the transmitter next to the receiving antenna to get a signal. I tried again with a brand new 9v battery, which helped a little... but signal began cutting in and out at just a few feet. Obviously my particular unit was defective, and they deserve credit for not blowing up my speakers with pop's and hisses as the connection dropped constantly... but the light weight and flimsy plastic construction, and poor quality control tells me this isn't a product I want to rely on. I'm using a Shure BLX beltpack instead, which is overkill for a raft mounted wireless DJ system... but you can't argue with their reliability.

For starters, the product does as advertised for the most part but it is terribly unreliable. Just walking around my band room (not even 10 feet from the receiver) would cause it to occasionally but very noticeably cut out. It does have periods where it works fine, though i wouldn't count on this piece of gear for anything other than rehearsals. One time i set my guitar down with the system still on and it started picking up transmissions from a nearby truckers CB radio. This thing doesn't operate on a very secure frequency. Though the real product killer for me personally is when i tried to use it at my first gig and it would barely work at all! I think that there was just to much going on at the venue and jumbled any chances this thing ever had of a clean clear signal. Ultimately you should just save up a little extra money and get the next best thing, i wouldn't even consider this entry level to be honest. Cosmetically it looks alright, but it just feels really cheap, but i guess you get what you pay for, though i doubt similar products in this price range are as terrible as this.

POOR PERFORMANCE DO NOT BUY.
Let me start this by saying i am a 25 year studio and live sound engineer. This product doesn't even fall under the "you get what you pay for" category. It failed to work at all in a very basic situation. i purchased this to use at weddings for toasts and spoken word. It functioned partially when within 5' of the receiver but cut out completely or went in and out beyond that. It is possibly THE WORST PRODUCT i have ever purchased related to pro audio gear. for the price, i imagined it functioning with limited ability and quality, but it didn't even do that. PLEASE DON'T WASTE TIME. Now i have to deal with shipping it back to go with my gut and spend the $300 to get a decent one. UGH. Horrible. I can now say with 25 years hard data that NADY has never made anything woth buying. nothing. zero point zero.

Too much compression, not great for guitar
It may be a fine unit for some purposes, but for playing clean guitar it is not good. It compresses the signal way too much, and that's probably helpful for some people (particularly for using it with a microphone), and but not for guitar. I played with the gain on both the transmitter and receiver and went back and forth between the unit and a cable, and I could never get the unit to sound close. Sending it back.

Never turned up
Mic never turned up and company very non responsive, and only returned 'blanket' type email, clearly has bigger problems. Will not deal with them again.

I wish I could have at least tried it.
I wanted to use this unit the first time for an informal concert last night. I unpacked it all at home and it looked fine. When I attempted to set it up (pre-concert), the chrome type aerial broke right off. Needless to say, there was no receptionbetween the guitar and the box itself. Thankfully I had brought a regular patch cord and was able to connectdirectly to the amp. I swear I was careful when trying to raise the antenna as suggested in the manual. I wish it had comewith the more rugged black type aerial which seems to be more solid and works perfectly on the Pyle-Pro Mic systemwhich I also purchased. Bottom line is that I probably should have spent a bit more and purchased a better instrument system. I figured for over $93.00 CDN that It should have at least worked a few times. Now I am hoping that I can have this one repaired at a reasonable cost.I don't think the cost of shipping it back to the supplier is worth it.

No good if you need consistent sound
I run a DJ business. Wanted to use this for the priest for the ceremony. Says 150 foot range. I was in a 30 foot room and with only the bride and groom standing in front of the priest it was cutting out like crazy. I had to hold the antenna to achieve no cutting out using my body as an extender. Either they straight out lie about the operating range, or my antennas were no good. Either way returned this junk and will spend extra 50$ to get a quality one. Lesson learned.

It will rock !!
All in all, for the money the product is good value. In a professional live situation I would not recommend it but for practice and jamming it's a great product,I think. There's two issues I'm not quite sure about because I just haven't spent enough time with it. 1st issue is a little noisy but if it cant be resolved, I could live with it. 2nd issue being the unit cuts out with any distances and doesn't reconnect immediately, but I'm yet to try with brand new battery, so I'll finish a review when I deal with the product and put my time in with it.
