Made my budget Dell laptop run MUCH better
Don't call the computer cops but I killed my 5 year old laptop. Or maybe better put it was assisted suicide since the laptop was in the process of ending its own life. DVD player would not work, keys were falling off, speakers stopped working, power cord would not stay plugged in. None of this was the computers fault, I did not take very good care of it. (Well, for the first 6 months I did, then..)Anyway, life went on. (for me at least) Bought a Kindle Fire, Android smartphone, Kindle e-reader, and still used my old Dell desktop for at home. But then I came across a used Dell laptop that had my name written all over it. Not literally of course, that would have been weird. (Unless my name was Dell, which it is not.) But I digress. The laptop was a Dell Inspiron B130, about three years old. Now the B in B130 literally stands for Budget, so this is an entry level model. But the price was only $59.00! I bought it and surprisingly it was fantastic. Of course with an entry level computer they kind of skimp on the memory.512 MB was what this had. So I bought the 2 GB from Amazon and installed it. Super easy to do. Improved the performance significantly. Very happy customer.

Great price, works well, better performance. Great price!
Picked these up to install in a relative's older Dell Inspiron E1505 to increase performance by doubling their existing ram. This was the first time I bought no-name memory. Heck, it wasn't even 10 years ago when I first bought Corsair or Crucial instead of Kingston and I was really nervous about that. Shipping was VERY fast! I placed the order on Thursday and received the memory on Saturday. Packaged well too.It was very easy to replace the memory on this laptop. Unplug laptop, disconnect battery unscrew two screws, 4 clips and just swap out the chips. Go into the BIOS when prompted on the next boot, exit and it's done.Boot up was marginally faster, but fast enough that AVG anti-virus detected it was faster and popped up a message to let me know. The real difference in performance came when using the computer. Browsing the web, checking emails (which is pretty much all that laptop is used for) was quick again. Even after removing the adware, crapware and other nonsense the computer kept swapping to disk right after booting up. Now it's usable for it's purpose again. Not bad considering it was less than $20 including very fast shipping!

Impressed
I bought these to upgrade my Dell E 1505 memory and I was impressed with all phases of the purchase. The items arrived quickly and and were packaged well to protect. I installed both modules in my E 1505 and after pressing *F1 for system to continue, they worked great. They are just as good as the original Dell module as I swapped around a few times and all was the same. I opted to stay with the newly purchased modules. I noticed a better performance of the laptop immediately. I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend for those looking to upgrade laptop memory. I also tried them in my Dell Inspiron 1501 and also worked perfectly. Installing in the 1501, needed no steps for system to recognize and accept the new memory upgrade.* In the Dell E 1505 after install and reboot, the screen showed "Your system memory has changed" with a few options.. if you wait about 30 seconds, you will hear a tone and the screen will read "Press F1 to continue". Press F1 and you're done and the system will continue booting up and you will have upgraded the memory. I performed this task more than 6 times between the two laptops and each time it was the same. ** Be sure laptop is shut down completely and unplugged from A/C charger before starting to replace/upgrade memory. ** Tool required - small Phillips head screwdriver to remove back cover door.

It worked...but took some work.
The RAM arrived within four days of being ordered. I had problems with my computer not recognizing the new RAM or any RAM for that matter. If you have an Dell Inspiron E1505, then you may come across a message that says that the system memory (RAM) has been changed and that you may need to reseat (reinstall) your RAM. To fix this issue, wait a few minutes for some options to appear or you can do what I did which was restart the laptop and when the BIOS screen is loading (the screen that says "DELL") press and hold F12 for a little while then release the key, the same message will appear but after a few minutes and 3 options should appear: F1 to continue, F5 to run a diagnostic, and F12 to run system utility. You wanna choose F5. Then you will be asked to choose a device to boot from, Choose the option that has the letters HDD in them (that's your hard drive) then a test will commence. answer the prompt concerning the coloured bars appearing on the screen, and then let the test continue to the point where a dialog box appears telling you that it hasn't found any problems so far but if you wish you can end the test now, but it recommends you continue the test. Follow its instructions and continue the test. When the test is concluded another dialog box will appear telling you that the laptop needs to reboot. click OK and then it will reboot and you should be back to normal, with your added RAM. Hope this helps anybody who got stuck in the same situation I was in and thought they got bad RAM, I've built a PC before and never had this problem with RAM before.

Helped laptop performance
I'll be replacing my laptop but this extra RAM has improved the performance enough to put off that expense a while longer. The cards were easy enough to install and arrived quickly so I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Using diagnostics software and receiving results that extra RAM would help I decided to try it. Without the extra memory my laptop was very slow to connect and would even close functions with a message that the program was stopping due to lack of memory - very inconvenient.
