Very happy with the Legacy FH-750! Plays very well.
I ordered the Legacy FH-750 about a month ago and have played it on several occasions. I really like it! It seems well made, especially for the price. My horn did come through with a small scratch in the lacquer near a brace at a bend, but not enough for me to make an issue out of.Again for what I paid for it, it's very minimal. The valves on my horn work well. They do not have the action my Bach Strad does, but I didn't expect it to. There is large print instructions that come with the horn that caution you to oil the valves immediately before you play the horn or the valve can sieze up. I oiled them well with the oil that comes with the horn and they work great.I played in in my church band recently for the first time and other brass section members commented that it sounds good and has a nice tone. I agree. The tone is rich, full and mellow. The case is what it is, it's not great, but not terrible either. It's adequate, but I may look into a larger "gig bag" for it at some point. When I was considering other flugelhorns, I decided on this one becuase it came with free shipping and the two prior reviews were positive. I'm very glad I chose this horn! I don't think you can go wrong, if you are like me (a trumpet player for many years) and have always wanted a flugelhorn but don't want to break the bank before you know for sure you will like playing it. Like reviews of other brands in this price range, I may look into another mouthpiece, because the one that comes with the horn is a little too deep for my taste (I usually play on a Bach 3C for trumpet), but that's not a big deal. The deep cup mouthpiece that comes with the horn likely contributes to it's rich, full and mellow tone so I may just stick with it.There are other options in this price range, but I'm very happy with this purchase and would not hesistate to buy another one if I had the need. Here's a link to Legacy USA's website if your interested:http://www.legacymusicusa.com/

American Made fluglehorn
The horn has a 6" diameter bell. It has a powerful large sound, more than I expected. It is American made. I like that it has three spit valves, most trumpets only have two spit valves. The tuning slide is in line with the mouth piece, making it easier to adjust tuning and able to lock it into place, when you do get in tune. The valves have bottom springs, as well as top springs. I am a little Leary about losing a spring, if And when I remove a valve to wipe while cleaning the valve out of the cylinder. I reminds me of a extra large cornet. It did'nt break my bank account upon purchasing it. Some fluglehorns are $1,000.00 or more. The valves are bronze brass with a special smooth coating that looks like a grey type Teflon material and not Monel steel or silver plated or stainless steel valves. As long as you don,t scratch or braise the coating, I think they will last a long time.

The valve were horrible, the smell was horrible
I ordered this horn not long ago...I did not get a "Legacy" horn. A "Zweiss" flugelhorn was in a raggedy case that did not have a zipper on it. It almost fell out when I opened the box. The valve were horrible, the smell was horrible, it had worn out corks on the waster keys (spit valves). I have been playing trumpet for almost 27 years and never have I played on something like this...it was an excellent horn! After I cleaned it, inside and out, took it to get new corks for the are keys...it plays so good! Even the technician said it was a well built horn! I played a gig on it, and it sounded really good! Sometimes, good things come in ugly packages....I made out for only $220! Try it...

comes with the nicest/best case and plays like a professional model
This flugelhorn plays like a professional model and the valve action was just as good as any after I cleaned and oiled them extensively. The ivory/plastic key top fell off and a little super glue fixed that easily enough. I bought the Bennington for a few bucks more only because I liked the looks of Rose colored brass better than the Bright Brass of this horn, but they played identically. The Legacy comes with an awesome case that doubles as a backpack too and is very protective.

Solidly built, awesome tone, quality control could improve.
it is an awesome flugelhorn with surprising build quality and tone. Unfortunately it arrived with a defective 1st valve (valve's surface had two dings / dents ), sign of insufficient quality control from the factory or the brand distributor in US, but Amazon with its usual outstanding customer service replaced it overnight !. Other than that, it is an awesome flugelhorn with surprising build quality and tone. If it weren't for the part that needed to be replaced, I would give it Five Stars.

I bought the horn to play in a musical and the rest of the band commented on how full and rich the sound is. Hard to beat for an occasional use instrument and a good price. I oiled the valves before using and no problems yet.

Beautiful horn!
Beautiful horn, nice tone, very satisfied! The nature of the horn is to fill with spit, but the 3 water keys help alleviate that. Such a joy to play, gorgeous sound! Been brushing up on my Chuck Mangione!

Great sound for the price
I purchased this for my 10 year old and he loves it. It's well made and produces a great sound. We used to to record some tracks on garage band and it was perfect. For the price I highly recommend it.
