MXR DD11 Dime Distortion

Best pedal i've ever owned, can turn any solid state amp into a dimebag esce or even live ac/dc distortion/gain machine. Way better than the Boss Metalzone or DOD Death Metal or basically any overdrive/distortion pedal i've ever had. The only thing I can say is it doesn't seem to work that well with tube combo amps, it only seems to go really well with solid state amps which I guess makes sense since tubed amps really aren't for over the top gain, hence why dimebag used solid state.

I regret buying this. It's so uncomfortable to play, either way too much distortion or not enough. Sounds like it's using a sound compressor but still has so much buzzing to it.

This is one ugly looking pedal. The graphics on the cano pattern are lame and a great aluminum casing is covered in plastic. Tone wise it is awesome and it sounds very close to what you hear on pantera records. It fizzles out on leads. Mxr could greatly improve on this pedal by adding a leads footswich and losing the terrible graphics. Because it sounds so great it is a definite keeper.

Wow. I’ve had so many distortion pedals over the years. This one is the best of all. It goes from classic rock crunch to blistering metal all the while maintaining clarity which is often lost at high gain settings on amps and other pedals. Highly recommended.

Has a nice scooped out distortion sound that fills the gap in my tone. Real fun for the metal stuff.

This is my 4th MXR pedal (EQ, Wylde OD, Wylde chorus). All others are Boss. Because this pedal runs on an 18v adapter, it absolutely crushes the others in terms of raw brutality while cutting through with articulate clarity. If I was stranded on a a desert isle and could only have 1 pedal, it would be the Dime Distortion!

La distorsión es simplemente cochina, pesada, aguda, revienta oídos y aún escuchas a la perfección toda la ejecución de lo que tocas. Obviamente esta belleza la debes acompañar con una guitarra con buenos mics, buenos cables, buen amplificador y totalmente recomiendo pasar a través de un noise gate. Yo utilizo el NS-2 de Boss, funciona sin ningún problema y obtienes lo que buscas, una distorsión estridente con poder.

Sounds like a fart in a stompbox. Amazed at these 5 stars. Stay away!
