Highly recommend this Artiva USA Home Deluxe 8-inch futon sofa mattress with inner spring made in US!!!!! After much research we opted for this futon mattress replacement. I have to sleep on it for six weeks after a hip surgery. I am three weeks in and can honestly say that I am amazingly impressed. Extremely comfortable!! Nice and plush for sleeping! You don't even know you are on a futon. And I am one of those very picky people :-). Plus I am on it much of the day while recovering, it's amazing. We got the natural/off-white color. We also got the Fynn Full Size Futon Cover 54" x 75" gray and white design sold by DCG stores (also made in the USA). It was $87.95. Well worth it :-) So, $185 plus $88. I'm a happy camper. (note: The mattress we were replacing, I could not even lay down on for 10 minutes without feeling the wood slats underneath. )Plus, we tested folding it up to sofa position, works really nicely. The poof stuff can be pushed in to make a single crease. Hope that makes sense.

This full-size futon mattress perfectly fit my standard futon frame. It is covered in a soft but sturdy fabric and is firm enough to feel comfortable sitting or laying on it. I chose this one because it appeared to have a softer cover than those described as covered in "canvas", a firm but comfortable feel, and an 8" thickness so that guests sleeping on it would feel like they were in a bed, not on a couch. All of these things are very true about the Artiva 8" futon mattress. I am 100% thrilled with this mattress; and, in fact, I bought two.

Went to UPS to pick up the package after delayed shipping. We ordered the orange color for the mattress. UPS attendant asked what I was picking up. When I told her it was a mattress, she said oh that must be that orange one down there. Immediately, red flags were going off. If she knew the color, the box must be damaged. No, she said that it shipped in a plastic bag. when the Item came up, the bag was held closed by one single strip of tape, and there were massive grease streaks all over the mattress. It was a disgusting mess. Upon inspection beyond the filth all over the item, I found that it was cheaply and shoddily made. Definitely substandard quality manufacturing. f the mattress had been a well made piece, I might have asked for a replacement, but that was not the case, and the packaging was so pathetic, that I had no recourse but to refuse delivery and ask for a refund. Do not waste your time or money on this mattress.

When we first received this it was thick & amazing! Everyone who tried it said it was so comfortable, I was really proud of my purchase! However, for two hundred dollars I really expected it to last longer than six months! We can feel the springs & the futon bars. This is the first one we've purchased, the one that came with the futon lasted us Six years! Now I understand why springs are such a bad idea, lesson learned!

All in all a good product.PROS:- accurate measurements- good combination of spring and foam- quiet- not too soft, not too firm (can't feel boards beneath unless you bounce like a monkey)- bendy and easy to put sheets on-comfortable to sleep on and to sit on while playing games or watching moviesCONS:- product bag was a little ripped; a few cosmetic dirt smudges. unnoticeable assuming you use a cover or protector and sheets- requires a few days of rest and flipping to reinflate the middle fold- if your sheets are extremely deep, you'll have some wrinkling- if you want something to jump on or need something very firmer, this won't be enough- strings in the middle aren't evenly spaced so it looks weird but doesn't make a real differenceIf you're looking for a USA-constructed (materials made overseas) product, this is quite good.

I am disappointed in this product. The primary complaint is that it is not what is described. The wire coils are wrapped in a single layer of natural fiber that is has a strong barnyard smell. It has large pieces of hay that poke out of the thin, polyester cover . I have been pouring over the description and reviews and have come to the conclusion that the item is either grossly misrepresented or I was shipped the wrong item. I can say I received a blue full size futon mattress with coil interior springs. Discrepancies : cover is polyester NOT cotton, coils are NOT wrapped in three layers of polyester and clean cotton batting. And the odd smell combined with detritus in the interior gives an over all concerning out of the field uncleanliness.

First, the futon I received does have a canvas cover, and it is not soft at all. Not a big deal, but I saw others who apparently got a non - canvas covered mattress because they describe it as soft. Next, it is not a traditional futon mattress, it is not very solid. It has a lot of bounce or spring to it. That kinda sucks because I thought I was ordering a stuffed futon mattress that would last as long as my last one ( 10 years or so). I am not sure it will hold up like my last one. Plus, I ordered it because of back problems and I really thought I was getting a nice futon style mattress. I will give it a try but I can tell it has a lot of give and I wont be able to use it for my primary mattress because it just isnt solid. It is probably good for a guest room futon, just not a primary sleeper like I was looking for.

This arrived so fast it was absolutely amazing!! I appreciated how well it was wrapped for shipping so that it didn’t tear or get damaged. When we opened it it laid right out and wasn’t stuck or bent in any odd shape. It’s made with good quality material and is much more comfortable than any other futon mattresses I’ve had to sleep on before. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to someone looking for a good quality futon mattress.
