Better design than the old black and red ones!
Love this design! The lid screws on, so it doesn't come off as easily as the ones that just slide and lock. Plus, the strap is anchored to the tube before attaching to the cap, so it won't pull as much on the cap.The tube also feels like it's made of a sturdier plastic than the standard design. Most of the time, I'll be using this tube in the short length, not extended, so it should be even sturdier!If you're just storing paper in the studio, the standard version will work. But if I ever have to travel with a tube, this is the one I will take.

I purchased this to store my weBoost cell signal booster. Perfectly fits the antenna, extensions, and cable. The mount stays installed on the rig. I added foam to the ends to prevent components from moving around too much.

Great product!
This tube is very sturdy. Very good quality material, and sensibly designed! The top screws off properly without any obstacle from the straps. It helps a lot to also have both straps where they are. Very ergonomic. The adjustment of the tube to 42 inches really does help! If you’re looking through other options, just know that this one is solid!

Works well for science posters
I use this for science research posters and have traveled across the nation with this tube. it's wide enough to fit couple of posters in there (either roll them up together or roll one poster tighter than the other). Fully extended it still fits in the overhead compartment of an airplane, and sturdy enough where I feel comfortable putting it on the overhead bin with suitcases, bags, etc. The only downside is that when the tube is fully extended, the strap fully lengthened is the same length, so it's hard to sling around your shoulder. I usually just carry it by the handle in the middle.Bottom line: it works fine as a poster tube and has held up for a couple of years traveling around. It does the job.
