Good conversion for conventional light.
I had a sealed light where the bulb failed, however after installing a new one found it was not bulb but the ballast. This light is led so does not require the ballast. So great for what I wanted. The down side to this though is that it's not really a plug in and go type replacement, you will need to modify the electrics in the light if you you change a florescent tube type bulb to this. It is easy to do but does require cutting some wiring removing a component in the old light fitting and re terminating it but I am comfortable dealing with wiring things you may not be, so bare that in mind. If you already have an led light then it will be simply plug it in. Light is good and bright, can comment on longevity as the lights I have replaced with these are in my loft so are not used often. They have however lasted longer than the fluorescent tubes they replaced!

Great replacement for my old construction light that used a 2D fluorescent lamp.
This is a great replacement for my construction light bulbs. I got fed up with the bulbs blowing every time the light was knocked or fell over. Instructions are supplied as to how to remove the ballast as this is not required for the LED replacement. Making sure that the light wasn't plugged in, I cut the 4 white wires from the ballast (White box in image), stripped them so they had clean ends and wired them into the connector block.

It feels like a brand new kitchen with this new light
Are you fed up with your old light flickering and deciding whether or not to turn on? Look no further. This light turns on when you flip the switch. No thinking needed. Best decision I have made to switch to LED. Hopefully it will shine bright for a long time.

Works well but one more thing
Works great but you need to remove not just the ballast, but also the starter. Also do not replace the starter with a fused LED thing, just leave it out completely.

Value for money
I used to replace a PL-Q 38w 2D 4 pin bulb. Fits perfectly fine. I just had to bypass the existing ballast. I would call it an easy task as at least some basic know how is required.
