Great seat for my needs. I know its sacrilegious to whine about the comfort of a backless Epic V7 kayak but it kept me from staying out on the water longer as I have kind of a s***ty back. This has plenty of adjustability in the straps to accommodate most type of setups. I actually only had make some loops around the kayak's mid carry handle for the forward straps of the back rest, and 2 loops around the rear hatch eye hooks for the rear straps of the kayak. I was glad I didnt have to drill any new eye hooks into the kayak.The material is a very firm spongy material that doesnt seem to absorb much water. The stitching seems pretty heavy duty too. Ive used it for about 10-14 hours so far and no change in materials other than the brass hooks getting a little tarnished.

Works real good with a Surfski. Not in the way for re-entrys and provides just enough lower back support to significantly improve comfort. I use with the Epic V5 SurfSki. Surfski's are not designed to be used with seats or even back bands. This one works though/

I bought this to fit into a kayak I built myself. I was happy to see it has really sturdy buckles. Also the webbing is generously cut allowing for a wide range of adjustability. It is a low profile backrest so it cannot offer a luxury ride, but it is better than no backrest at all. Happy to see some things are still made in the USA, and high quality at that.Now here is what the picture does not show! On the back there are two more buckles that need to be fastened as well. So there are a total of 4 buckles that need to be clipped on - 2 front, 2 back.

Does the job for me. Works well on my kayak, Perception Striker 11.5. I use it on the higher level seat to fish and gives me good lumbar support.

I use this as a back support for my kayak because it has none. I changed two of the brass hooks to a buckle and added a kickboard. It works great, giving me the support I need for several hours on the water.

Works for the intended purpose. It has 4 straps instead of the two pictured like I hoped it would. So far I've only used it on my fishing ski once but will do follow up soon.
